Calimera Fido Gardens Hotel

"This was a last minute short break away with my son and 4yr old grandson, chosen as the hotel is family friendly and in a quieter area than Magaluf etc. the hotel and grounds were spotless, the food very good, we did go all inclusive with having a child. We had 2 twin rooms which were basic but clean and we were lucky to both have lovely balconies overlooking the pools.The staff were attentive and the manager said he was hoping to get more Brits to go there (there were mainly German visitors there) which was fine for us. There was a children’s club but we didn’t use it as my grandson wanted to spend most of the time in the amazing splash park which is at the back of the hotel just over the road. The other 2 large pools were also very good. The hotel is in a good position, just 5 minutes walk away is a lovely beach and a road with more bars and shops, but not loads. There’s a mini train just outside the hotel that picks up every hour and takes you round Cala d’or marina and into the centre. There’s place is a complex so the highest rooms are 2 floors up (no lift). Cala door is on the east coast so a good drive from the airport, we had private transfer and it still took 45mins. We loved it and would go again. We went for October half term, there were ample (good) sunloungers and umbrellas."

"We went as a family of 12 all of really really Enjoyed every aspect of this hotel. Food quality was excellent we had fussy eaters but they always found something to there liking. Staff always greeted you with a smile on there's faces. Cleanliness was spot on towels changed everyday. If you do holiday here the tap water and pools are salt water. This hotel is also suitable for the disabled."

"All the staff are perfect couldnt be anymore helpful if they tried. The food was varied and good, the manager joan was always present and talking to guests, when we arrived we started checking in and because the lunch service finished in 20 minutes they stopped checking us in and told us to carry on with lunch then come back to finish checking in. Im a disabled man that needs a wheelchair and i emailed the hotel asking if they can help with arranging a mobility scooter, they arranged a mobility scooter for my arrival which only cost €100 for the week. The rooms are perfectly sized for a family of 3 with space to take the scooter into the room with me and turn it round. People maon about anything and everything these days my asvise is ignore these reviews book here and go enjoy a beautiful holiday. ps yes the pool and showers are saltwater which people moan about but do moan about the sea being salty. Just go enjoy different coultures"
