"Site says 24 hr reception – there is no physical reception, it’s ‘phone or email contact. NB, you need a code to get a key. We arrived at ~8pm, no one there, no code. Had to call Easyjet who eventually advised we had to email pictures of our passports before the ‘reception’ would tell us the code. To be fair, Easyjet Customer Service were great but if we’d known the process for getting the code, we could have done it on the way from the airport. Instead, we had an anxious hour, hanging about in a bit of a rundown side street, getting darker by the minute, with no idea when/how we would get in a room. When we were given code by Easyjet, it wouldn’t work, had to get another one and that got us into (wrong) room. Half an hour later, whilst in a restaurant, we got an email saying we had been told the wrong room and we had to move. Luckily, we were only 2 mins round the corner.
We were in the Premier suite so room review is mainly on that. However, we were initially put in the Deluxe so have sighted both. Both absolutely beautiful, spotless, modern, serviced daily – can’t fault that, so any criticisms may seem pernickety. My opinion, don’t splash for the Premier suite, not worth the extra unless you’re desperate for your own jacuzzi. It’s not a private solarium, more a rooftop jacuzzi; no seating so unsuitable for sitting in the sun. The main solarium only had 4 beds so if all suites full, not enough for everyone. The pic on their site makes it look massive, it’s not. The deluxe suite was a ‘wow’ when we walked in door; the premier was then a bit of a let-down as it’s much smaller. The staircase up to the ‘solarium’ is so steep and narrow you have to come down it sideways and one step at a time. Don’t attempt after a drink or with less than bone dry feet.
No actual windows, roof ones only. Lovely but might not suit everyone. A few floor tiles loose and cracked so just take care when stepping on them. The mirror/shelf in the bathroom looks good but isn’t very practical - it’s round, so very limited space to actually put toiletries on. The Safe wasn’t working, it was as if there were no batteries in it. We emailed on first morning to be told there was a key – there wasn’t. Then that a member of staff would come round, they didn’t.
Summary: lovely place, quiet, and in an ok location for bars/restaurants (if you walk round the corner) but I wouldn’t go back."
