Hotel Villa Espana

"Location is perfect, cleanliness and presented very well, reception staff were extremely good and very helpful BUT there is a few things that really lets the hotel down, The fact you have to pay deposits for 1, towels for the swimming pool,2, a plastic cup on the roof top bar that can only be purchased via a card from the downstairs reception ( plastic cups and cruz campo do not go well together) and 3 for a safe that's built in to all rooms wardrobe!! If you stay here as a family of 4 that's 100 euros you have to pay just to get it back on the day you leave and you need 100 euros to come home with!! They claim the suspended pool will be open soon but while we were there not one person did a single thing to it so somehow I dont think so, finally the restaurant, food was very similar everyday and rather tasteless but nether the less I did find something to eat, food was also not very well described and for someone who has bad reactions to certain fish products i soon found out that the toilets here were exceptionally clean and well maintained, I left a little disappointed and feel this hotel could be an absolute gem with a few tweaks"

"A lovely hotel when it's finished a few hiccups, food good, drinks excellent, bar staff and waiting staff great but we were a family group of 6, we requested 2 balcony rooms but they were juliet style so you couldn't sit out on them. Didn't bother us as others complained that balconies where facing construction works. Also no hand rails by the roof top pool so I couldn't use it. Today we checked out and I was returning the 6 drinks cards (€5 each) with the receipt I was given by a young guy in reception on 29th Oct. But the receipt I had was for 2 towels at €30 your mistake not mine and was refused my refund it isn't about the money cos bar service was excellent but I was angry at the fact he made me out a liar in front of other guests and I left the hotel feeling very disgusted by his attitude."

"This is my last resort - I have tried for months to email, contact, Instagram, Facebook without success. We are due to travel on the 15th for 5 nights as a 30th wedding anniversary. I wanted to look into upgrading the room and make a payment as a treat for my Husband for a Sea view room. EasyJet have already advised there may be some disruption due to noise from the building works at the adjacent carpark and we stuck to our original plan and stayed with this hotel. The Hotel replied once on Facebook and asked for a phone number and I have head nothing. I find this so disappointing and have now questioned my hotel choice. I feel very frustrated by the lack of customer service, I hope this is not a sign of things to come."
