"Second time we have stayed here. This time we brought our adult children and their partners. We had four rooms. This hotel is brilliant! It’s like a local pub in the bar with so many friendly locals and travellers. The rooms are really comfortable and the entire hotel just feels warm. Self driving is best. Nearby you can get food and supplies for the supermarket which is much cheaper than staying in central Reykjavik- trust me! Lots of fast food and restaurant options nearby. It sits on the gateway to the golden circle. 50minutes to blue lagoon. 20 minutes to Reykjavík. Always safe parking at the hotel. We got to see the. Northern lights again behind the hotel. Outstanding. Also we all enjoyed the hot tub across two hours. The hotel team even helped me to arrange flowers in the room for my wife on arrival! We will be back again! Feels like home in the beautiful country that is Iceland! Couldn’t recommend this hotel more!"

"Situated a 45 minute drive from the airport and 20 minutes from Reykjavik the hotel is quirky and very pleasant. The rooms were spacious and clean. We slept ok- the room is hot with no thermostat. Breakfast choice is basic cereal, toast/waffles, small continental selection plus tea, coffee and chocolate. No fruit juices. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. We would definitely stay again. "
