"I visited here with my partner in March.
Having stayed here before I had some expectations of what to expect, however my stay exceeded these.
Room; Located near the entrance to the hotel, furthest from the beach the Sentido block of buildings are spacious, and fridge (free water) and safe (again) free for guests. The rooms are showing some signs of wear and the décor slightly dated.
The lighting in the room would make me recommend a reading light if you wish to read at night.
The entire site either this Sentido or the Reef Oasis in the same complex is always kept spotlessly clean and the staff maintain this to a high standard, even when we had storms and rain the staff kept the hotel and complex clean.
The Beach, can be reached by walking, or there is a hotel shuttle bus during the day, be warned there is still a steep incline to be undertaken to reach the beach either by steps or slope once dropped off by the shuttle bus.
Beach has towel service and sunbeds aplenty, however can be very noisy and crowded at peak times, get there early is my advice.
There is a snack bar available on the beach for burgers, chips and pizza for most of the day, as well as soft drinks and alcoholic drinks.
Also Sentido beach area, has a bar service for drinks.
The sea, would recommend beach, reef shoes, as whilst there is a soft sand floor, as you go deeper it becomes rocky. Entry to sea either from slopped beach or pontoon out over the reef. There are life guards on hand throughout the day, look out for the flags.
The Reef, I have travelled far and wide and have to say this reef has a lot going for it, as there is so much space which you can swim through, so many fish to see and admire at your leisure, just be aware again areas at times can get crowded.
Food, there is the Sentido exclusive restaurant, as well as the Reef Oasis restaurants that are available for use to Sentido guests. These are buffet style affairs with a good and varied selection of dishes daily.
Speak to guest services and you can book the 3 different ala carte restaurants during your visit. Kebabby, Maharaja (open to all guests) and the Sentido exclusive Italian, there is also a fish restaurant open for a fee of $27 per person.
Each ala carte offers a different experience, I cannot fault the staff and food at these or the buffet restaurants.
Pools.... SO MANY! We often found ourselves as the only guests at the pools. Some have swim up bars, others heated, suggest you explore and find one that suits you.
There is a splash park that is open twice daily.
There are several areas for a drink across the site, including a sports bar for those who want a pub feel.
Gym, Sentido guests have the use of a the gym facilities as well as the sauna and steam room, booking is required.
I have visited here before, last year, staff greeted us as if we were old friends and were pleased to see us back, made the stay even more special.
I cannot fault any of the staff, alas I cannot list all those who I would like to thank, however the follow are some that made our stay extra special.
Romany, for his daily greetings and chats.
Samil?, for his service at the Pool bar
Ibrahim for his service at the Sentido beach bar, the Towel Guy from Sentido Beach hut for his help, and locating my lost item, sorry I didnt get your name,
Muhammed for his waiting service, and Muhammed for his service in the Maharaja restaurant for making each visit a pleasure.
Alas I don't have room to thank the bar, waiting staff from the Sentido restaurant, or the piano bar area, but they again went and above.
Recommend mosquito spray as there these can be a pest in the evening.
Only downside we had was that they ran out of Coke Zero during our stay, but this is only a minor point."
