"Poor service. Drastically in need of upgrade, holes in curtains etc. No AC and almost unbearable in the summer heat. Avoid if you can."

"No way 4 star, as the reviews say! So annoyed, just checked in to find the pool only opens 8-10pm (what’s the point?! And That’s no use to most people!) and worse, it charges you!!! Gym also charges. Guy on reception laughs when I questioned this. Nowhere is this noted on the site I booked from so will be speaking to them as it’s illegal to MISADVERTISE - trying to move as aside for that, the rooms are old fashioned and not nice. I paid £130/night and I’d say it’s a £50/night motel, 2 star. What’s worse is there’s plenty of reviews saying this (I should have looked before!) but the hotel doesn’t update its marketing profiles to be honest. Usually they say “surcharge” next to the facilities. It’s loud as you need windows open as no AC (looks like they used to have it, read a review they stopped to save money), and then there’s bells ringing and lots of noise early in the morning, especially. There’s no bottles of water, black tea or milk/creamer, or English speaking channels working on the tiny old TV. The bed is hard, there’s lumpy pillows - so disappointed and have booked 4 nights here, it doesn’t look like the pics, isn’t worth the price and the facilities were a lie :("
