"We had a fantastic holiday overall. The hotel was consistently clean, and the food was excellent, with a wide variety to suit the whole family. There were plenty of activities available for the kids, and the flexibility of the kids’ club was a real highlight.
I’m not usually one for writing reviews, but I always find it difficult choosing all-inclusive holidays just from browsing travel company websites. Because of that, I thought I’d share our experience to help others like me who are simply looking for a clean hotel, good food options for all the family, good number of pools and plenty of sun loungers available, fun activities for the kids, and an enjoyable break away from UK work life and day-to-day commitments. For us, it was about relaxing, unwinding, and coming back feeling refreshed.
I’m also not someone who expects 5-star treatment when booking a 3- or 4-star hotel, and I don’t expect everything to be perfect. Things can and do happen, it’s all part of travel, and it’s often about how you adapt and make the most of the experience.
The entertainment team were brilliant and really helped make the experience special for everyone. Their energy and enthusiasm added a lot to the holiday.
Our room was ideal for what we needed, mainly a place to sleep and get ready. It was comfortable, well-maintained with daily housekeeping, and the shower was particularly powerful, which was a nice bonus. Might be worth noting there is a hair dryer in the room but no iron.
While there weren’t any premium-brand alcoholic drinks included, this wasn’t an issue for us. My partner was happy with the sangria, the kids loved the juices and especially the hot chocolates, and I enjoyed the occasional beer, which was good.
The hotel is around a 50-minute coach transfer from the airport, with the journey itself being quite memorable as the roads wind up and down through the mountains. The setting of the hotel is peaceful, scenic, and quite isolated, which was perfect for a relaxing getaway. While there are transport options available, including taxis, buses, and organised tours, we were more than happy to stay on-site for the duration of our holiday as there was plenty to do.
The staff throughout the hotel were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which really enhanced our overall experience. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and their positive attitude made a big difference.
A useful tip for future guests: there is a €15 cash deposit per pool towel from the spa. If you don’t have euros, they were happy to take the deposit in pounds when we were there, but it’s important to keep your receipt so you can get your deposit back. It’s also worth bringing items like inflatables and a small pump with you, as the on-site shop is quite expensive (understandably due to the convenience and the hotel’s remote location). We found we could fill a suitcase with inflatables for the price of just one at the hotel shop. The same applies to sun cream and other essentials, which are noticeably pricier on-site.
Wi-Fi coverage was also very good, we were able to get a reliable connection in pretty much all areas of the hotel, which was handy when needed.
For those with later flights, there are flexible late check-out options available, which can be arranged with reception. Standard check-out is at noon, but you can extend your room until 3pm for approximately €33, or until 5pm for around €53. This worked really well for us with a 9pm flight and made the final day much more relaxed and enjoyable.
The sports facilities were another highlight of the stay. The gym was excellent and never felt crowded, making it easy to fit in a workout. The padel courts looked brand new, and it was great that they weren’t busy, we were able to enjoy a game without any hassle. There were also four tennis courts, and the kids had a great time playing football. For running, there’s a path around the outside of the hotel, which was perfect for a morning run before the temperature picked up, ideal for doing a few laps in a really scenic setting.
Overall, a really enjoyable stay that we’d happily recommend to other families.
Apologies for the length of this review, but I wanted to cover as much as possible to give a helpful and honest overview for anyone considering staying here."
