Culloden House

"After a long day traveling from Edinburgh and flying for several hours viewing the lochs and Northeast Scotland thanks to Highland Aviation, we arrived at Culloden House to be warmly greeted by the young, polite and energetic bellman. Dinner was superb (lake trout and filet) beautifully presented with silver service and white linens. Breakfast conversation with Kyle, a former military member, was collegial and engaging. Total price of the visit including large suite, breakfast and dinners was 888 pounds, and worth every penny. I recommend without reservation."

"My wife and myself took mum for her 80th Birthday .We had afternoon tea and the service was perfect and the food delicious .For what it cost and also the luxury setting in which you get to enjoy your afternoon tea it was just perfect . Thank you so much ."

"Undoubtedly one of most beautiful properties in the Inverness region. I’ve chosen the hotel due to its proximity to the Culloden battlefield site and due to its authenticity. As a hotel I have to say, the place is disappointing, despite my upgrade to a higher room category. I can’t see coming back to the place. Reception lady was very rude. It’s not the expected style for a 4 + star reception. The bar has a decent collection of whiskey but I wouldn’t consider it as a bar. It has the charms of a community room in a center for the elderly. Rooms are ok. Breakfast is good with a lot of choices but the presentation is not as expected. I’m also over staff members coming to my table entertaining me like in a 3-star beach resort. I don’t want an animator or any jokes for breakfast but a nice retreat with a quiet and outstanding service. The dinner is good but obviously if you don’t change the me ye frequently more of a place that you can use only once. I’d give the whole place more attention."
