"Rooms are lovely but management of the property is dire! Over the two days we were there we had a power cut and our key card failed. Both times we had to deal with the issue ourselves as there are no staff and no one would answer any of the emergency numbers. Unbelievable. If you do decide to go there I recommend you get a second key card. Remember no food either...although the cleaner left some biscuits the second day 😋"

"I can’t believe that people report such widely differing experiences at this hotel, which also markets under the name Crown Court Hotel! Our experience was mixed. Cleanliness was not an issue with our room but they failed to service it on one of the 4 days. The bathroom had a flickering downlight which was never addressed despite repeat requests. We also had trouble with getting hot water. There is no restaurant. We were referred to pubs down the road. Before we arrived we had left 2 phone messages and sent 2 emails wanting to discuss arrangements for when we arrived. These were never responded to. The staff (one woman, on duty for our entire stay)presented as sympathetic but nothing ever happened. In summary the room was well appointed and the bathroom clean and modern. However the place was very poorly managed."

"Other reviews I've read about the front desk not being staffed continuously are correct. You can usually go in the bar and they will help. you (they do both). We did. have to wait a couple times, especially since the bar was closed due to a plumbing issue, but it all worked out. The room was great and we had no issues. Don't bring large luggage since you will be going up stairs."
