"Booked this two months ago. I live in the countryside and trains not leaving late enough to return. Stupidly , I booked a room without a window. But for £188 I thought it couldn’t be too bad. I was wrong. It was very bad. I felt fortunate I was a healthy BMI and 5’8” woman. You can’t swing a cat. Anything bigger you’ll struggle. Certainly if you’re tall. Bed v short. Room dark. If you’re brushing teeth in bathroom you are standing in half the circular shower tray. There was no sink plug. Putting on makeup near bed ( nowhere to put anything in bathroom),I could only have one product at a time on minuscule shelf 5cm in depth. People will say here that you get what you pay for and location etc but for £188, a solitary confinement experience and first impressions associated with a mild attack of anxiety in walking into room was really awful. No lift. I don’t mind stairs, and am fit, but the stairs were steep. If you are not in good physical shape, you’ll struggle with stairs. I had a backpack , but good luck if you have even the most minor of physical ailment. Any heavy suitcases would be a nightmare unless you are an Olympic weight lifter. I misjudged this hotel and own that fully. If you’re thinking of booking, get a window or don’t stay. Yours, erstwhile cell mate."
