"Good reception. Clean room, nice facilities however, got absolutely no sleep due to the shouting and screaming of one of the guests. Management refused to remove the guest despite the disturbance and distress it was causing to all other guests. Couldn’t wait to get out of there."

"DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!! I booked and paid £180 for a 2-night stay through Booking.com. My booking was confirmed and I even received pre-arrival check-in information from the hotel. On the morning of arrival, Hendham House informed me they could not honour the booking due to overbooking and instructed me to cancel through Booking.com for a full refund. This left me scrambling to find last-minute alternative accommodation at a higher cost. I followed their instructions immediately, but despite multiple emails and phone calls, I have received no response and had to initiate a chargeback via my bank which took a month. Mistakes happen, but cancelling a confirmed booking on the day of arrival and then ignoring a customer's attempts to resolve the issue is unacceptable. I have retained evidence of the booking, the cancellation message, and my attempts to contact the hotel."

"Enjoyed my stay it was only one night but definitely would come back, very friendly and helpful staff and really comfortable lovely room..a good night sleep with close proximity to so many things.. very very highly recommend 💙🙏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟"
