"Sustained a serious injury at this establishment. One staff member on duty. Couldn't speak or understand English. Appeared to be 'high' on something & incoherent! No duty of care, sloppy, dangerous environment. Photo shopped pictures of the garden, not what it really looks like! Would recommend staying somewhere else!"

"Had this booked through booking.com for a couple of weeks for myself and my partner. We opted to pay at property and started receiving emails that they had attempted to take the funds from my card and was declined (although we had the money available). Was confused as to why our card was attempting to be charged, called the property who stated it’s nothing to do with them and to call booking.com. We then called booking.com and was told they were unable to get in touch with the property and was then promised our room would be secured. On the day of travelling we received an email to say that our booking had been cancelled (which seemed that the property cancelled it without contacting us). Avoid avoid and avoid! Word of advice for property, stop putting the blame onto booking.com. Thanks."

"We normally stay a bit closer to the city but we booked late and rooms were limited and at a premium in the usual hotels. I saw this and with it being 10 minutes from the city with parking outside I thought it would be OK. The pictures look nice and it looks quite chic and trendy. The photographs must have been professionally done with filters, because in reality it doesn't look as nice. The best way to describe it is more like a hostel, which I wouldn't have minded but I do mind paying £145 to stay on a hostel. The man on reception was pleasant and we had a choice of room so we picked the largest. The decor was weird, it was nice in parts but then slap dash in others, white paint splashed everywhere. Skirting boards were old and dirty. The windows were nailed shut. The bathroom was nice and the bed was clean, but it was the size of a postage stamp! The TV didn't work and the tea and coffee facilities were poor. We only had one cup, one tea bag no milk and the coffee sachets looked like they had been in someone's pocket for a few weeks. We were also told free toiletries, but we got none. The soap dispenser in the bathroom had no soap left to wash our hands. It's only little things, but we were like come on, it's a hotel you knew you had guests just get this sorted, what have I paid money for. Then the most disappointing thing was the shower didn't work in the morning. There were two temperatures, burn your skin off hot or scalding hot, no cold. There was no one covering reception to complain to or to help with it. We decided at this point just to leave and get showered at home. I described it to my partner as a hostel more than a hotel, but he said he'd stayed in better hostels. I think it would be OK, but I would only ever pay about £60 to stay here, no more, again my partner said I am too generous. He said he would never stay again. Oh and there is always a strong smell of weed I think from the tenants who live below! "
