Hilton Liverpool

"Stayed here whilst watching the Open Golf and if you want a clean room and bed then probably OK but if you want to eat and drink then this place is a struggle . We arrived back after the golf and decided to eat in the Hotel restaurant and when we tried to enter at 8:40pm we were asked "are you here for the speed dating ? " we laughed and thought it was some sort of a joke . But no they had closed the restaurant to hold speed dating and in the large restaurant were 10 people doing speed dating. The hotel was full of people attending the golf most booked through hospitality companies . We spoke to 3 other couples in the bar that had also been turned away and thought it bizzare and some were contacting the agent they booked through. I did ask the Bar Manager why would they do that- a struggling down market 3 star hotel might do it to try and make some money but the Hilton !!! He was utterly disinterested so we and the other couple went out for drinks and to eat . Aside from terrible service for guests this has to be commercial madness ."

"I stayed here for one night on a weekend and the hotel is nice. A spacious lobby greets you on arrival and check in was very easy and quick. Plenty of lifts available with my room being on the 7th floor with great views over the docks and the room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was mega busy but the waiting staff were very efficient in getting me seated at a good table and the buffet food was replenished well. Breakfast food was amazing."

"Room was 84 degrees and reported the issue at 6 pm. By 10 pm no better and asked for another room. Was told someone would be there n 15 min to take care of. Person came to verify the ac was working. At 11 pm we asked for return and walked to another hotel. Terrible customer service!!! NEVER stay at Hilton in Liverpool City Center!!! Very old hotel that needs upgrades. Hilton should be ashamed to let this hotel carry their name!"
