"Dreadful. Poor customer service. Staff were rude. The manager was so rude. Tina questioned why my family member wanted to use the toilet at reception. Waited over an hour for food for staff to keep lying saying it was only 5 mins left to wait. Lies as after 1.5 hours, they admitted it was only just being cooked. They said they had no chefs so a lady from reception was trying to cook it. They just needed to be honest instead of making us pay and wait for food that didn’t arrive. We had a place to be so ran out time waiting and had to refund the order. The refund wasn’t straight forward as the manager didn’t know how to use the till and she had a bad attitude. Won’t be returning. Travelodge has gone down. I don’t recommend staying here."

"Although the hotel is well placed for harbour side, that is the only thing in its favour. Room shockingly hot ( not in the heatwave) the breakfast inedible. Travelodges are known to be cheap and cheerful so that was expected, however if you can’t sleep because of room being too hot ( despite fan and open window) and you can’t eat the food as it was disgustingly prepared then it’s a total waste of your money. We left after one night even though we paid for two. The only redeeming thing for the hotel is the staff were friendly and helpful…… working in adverse conditions. "
