Sunway Playa Golf & Spa Hotel

"My expectation was not very high when I booked this hotel however I have to be honest here and say that Hotel Sunway is a exceptional place to stay for the money that they asked. One other thing that I viewed as a negative turned out to be a positive was the distance from the hotel to the the old town, This took 35 mins walking or 12 min cycle ride (hotel provides cycles). However this turned out to be a pleasure to stroll down, the front was very clean and spacious with couple of bars dotted along the beach in case you require a pit stop. The other option is to use the Wally Wagon (long road train for those who don't know) this doesn't run all year round. We stayed in a self catering one bedroom apartment. It was spacious, clean, basicly equipped it even had a washing machine(result lol) it felt like we were living like a wealthy local and felt like a familiar home environment. Just bare in mind that a 2 to 3 bedroom apartment in the complex next door are for sale at way over a million euros. It has a golf course next door which caters for serious golfers this is reflected in price per round. The supermarket onsite has all you need to get you by and doesn't take advantage on price of goods."

"Just got back from a week at Sunway Playa. Never been to Sitges before but were lucky with the weather which made the walk (about 25 mins) from the Hotel into town a pleasure as it is along the promenade - there was also a little train running and plenty of cabs for hire. Hotel was lovely- right opposite the sea so we were serenaded by the sound of the waves lapping against the shore. Rooms were spacious and clean, Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and Sitges beautiful. Will definitely return."

"Stayed for last weekend in October. Took two apartment rooms. I use other travellers reviews to guide my hotel choice and post my experiences to guide others. In short excellent experience and would highly recommend this hotel and resort. The hotel is right on the beach front and promenade. You can hear the waves breaking at night and the sea views look down towards the town. The hotel is a family oriented vacation hotel. There is a large heated indoor pool, games room and good restaurant selecton. The breakfast as described by others is excellent with an omelette chef present. The rooms we had were very clean and well equiped. Fridge, microwave, toaster, sink etc. The excellent showers and bathrooms (bath present) are a good size. A two seater couch converts to a pullout bed (large teenager or adult). The main bedroom has a double which is reasonable size but may be snug for a large sized couple. Everything was clean , comfortable and welcoming. The outdoor pool is wind protected and of good size but we used the indoor heated one by choice (October days were 19degrees)l. A dip un the sea just outside the hotel on a cobble/sand beach was cool but refreshing. The main protected beach was 200m down the promenade. There is onsite indoor parking (20 euros day). The car slots are very tight and not too many present. A large SUV would be a challenge. The hotel is located at the end of the promenade about 1km from the town. Many joggers, walkers evident but the hotel provides complimentary push bikes which are an excellent and novelty way of exploring the flat ride into town. The town is pretty , small streets and feels very safe an excellent trip away for a family or friends. Thumbs up for the hotel, location, service , facilities and especially having an indoor heated pool (essential in October). Would recommend to fellow travellers as a very good four star hotel option."
