"We ate here at the moment on a family holiday (family of 3 ). I booked this holiday 8 months ago with Abbey travel. I asked for a pool view room. I then sent 2 emails with no reply, and i followed this up with a phone call with the same request. .we arrived last night late only to be given a view of the bins !!. From what I learnt from the other guests is that booking through the hotel gets you a pool view but booking a package holiday gets you a bin view !!! PS the food is not great either"

"7yrs ago I gave this place a 5* review. Bear with me before you dismiss my updated reviews. I've visited 4 times in the last 8yrs, and just returned from my last visit as a couple. I think this will be my last visit here. Every time I have visited, in my opinion the standard of the hotel has slipped worse than the previous visit. And to us, this has been the same again but more noticeable this time. Hotel staff. Reception staff, very helpful and friendly. Same with the cleaners who have a tough job Rooms were tidy and appeared always clean. That said, look under your beds, the floor in our room was filthy and not cleaned. Ants crawling on the balcony, attracted to the sticky residue of prev guests that hasn't been cleaned up properly. Walls to the rooms are paper thin. (more on that later). Air conditioning broken that took multiple complaints to reception before anyone fixed it, all while trying to cope with 30+ degree days. Bar staff and restaurant staff on this visit have at best been in my opinion, ignorant and some rude.. Ignore you then start shaking for the tokens you need for the drinks, even though they had just took my plastic drinks glasses off me. Took another staff member to intervene and tell the bar staff they had took my drinks beaker, as he repeatedly shook the drink token jar at me while shouting at me "ey you"... Not a moron, please don't speak to me like one. Most of the time, sadly, the staff won't even speak to you. The soft drinks are flat. Full of ice to reduce the amount of liquid provided. And the supposed carbonated drinks are at best like a beaker of flat fizzy pop. Restaurant staff also equally as rude and unhelpful, apart from one girl with glasses behind the bar in the restaurant.... Literally the only one to greet us with a smile every day we visited. A breath of fresh air. Food in the restaurant to us is bland and much of the same stuff most days. Alot less choice than there used to be a couple of yrs previously. Really struggled this time for any food that had any taste and edible for me. Paid all inclusive and wish I hadn't, having reviewed what we benefitted from this visit, and don't feel we have had any half decent value for the money paid. Over half of the weeks stay we have ended up eating away from the hotel as we found the food so bad and has cost us a small fortune, which we feel it shouldn't have, having paid for all inclusive. Regards the rooms. Previous years the standards have been alot better, this time I was met with a dirty room, broken air conditioning and neighbours who's group enjoy phone calls on speaker phones at half 2 in the morning, and can't communicate with others they know in a different room without shouting across the hotel for the whole hotel to hear. Absolutely no consideration for any other hotel guest other than themselves. No one from the hotel deals with the shouting and behaviour of guests in the hotel when their behaviour is poor. Poolside is OK, never an issue getting a sunbed, however maybe we just picked a bad week as we spent so many days listening to parents screaming at the kids opposed to talking. Villa Dorada, previous experiences with your hotel has shown me you can do alot better than our experience this time.... Please sort it out. We used to enjoy visiting you, but this time has really ruined it for us."
