Hotel Las Vegas Salou

"Let me start with the bad , the food is really not good , Luke warm sometimes under cooked and not much choice very repetitive , once a dish is empty. Its rarely replaced , asked staff several times for tuna as dish was empty was told no its finished even tho an hour left of dinner asked again was told ok I get some. Stood 15 mins waiting still no tuna Same with kiwi at breakfast staff did not want to fetch anymore. In the end I asked for restaurant manager. Who then fetched me a plateful of kiwi. Staff don’t seem very helpful .pizza was very popular as it was only food that came out piping hot. But it was all gone within minutes. Then you had to wait for more to come doing one at a time is ridiculous , if you are vegan or vegetarian like our friends there’s hardly anything to eat they had to keep eating out , the one time they did eat in they had some kind of salad that had small pieces of ham in and they didn’t know til they had put in mouth , the food was not labelled most of the time or it was incorrect , I saw pork labelled as octopus .the ques at mealtimes was all up the stairs out of restaurant . The bar in lounge has very rude waiters one night barman said whose next as there was a que my husband pointed to a woman in front of him barman shouted NO SHES NOT and walked away , why ask then ?lifts are tiny suppose to hold 6 but 4 is uncomfortable and if you have cases. Only 2 can fit in . Aircon in rooms is hit and miss The good Hotel is spotless very. Clean everywhere , rooms are lovely with English Channel bbc 1 ,2 , 3 Beds comfy and the pool on rooftop is gorgeous there is a bar on rooftop open til 11pm such a lovely spot for a drink with a fantastic view of Salou and the beach on a warm night , there are 3 other pools dotted around hotel , sun beds looking a bit grubby tho , entertainment on most nights normally a singer . Cleaner were very pleasant and did a good job . Would I stay here again. Yes if room only was available or I got a good price and then would eat out . If you want really nice food try the Guinness bar very close to hotel"

"Location is very good, a stones throw from the beach and shops and bars. Bus stop a short walk down the hill. Make sure your key opens the gate at the bottom of the hill or you will have to walk up a hill! Hotel is spotless and very well maintained. Housekeeping work extremely hard. There are 4 pools 3 are adults only and they are well looked after, though the water is cold!! We didn’t have any trouble getting a sun bed. Down side is the food. Yes they are mass producing food, but when the food is under/over cooked or cold, it is very disappointing. Food laid out is not always labelled correctly so you are playing Russian roulette if you have allergies!! Food is not always replenished in a timely Manner, if at all. Out of the 7 nights we stayed there we had dinner out 3 times, lunch twice and breakfast once, the food was not good. We saw people having food delivered in! There is a small shop right opposite where you can buy some souvenirs and snacks. We hired a cabana on the roof for €25 for 2 hours which included 2 cocktails- absolutely well worth the money. There are no kettles or cups in the room, so we took a travel kettle and travel mugs. I was bitten once by a mosquito but they liked the taste of my friend!! There is a fridge and a safe in the room. Places to eat Antalya 2 - great curry, Christy’s Irish tavern - great sausage and mash, Ruby Tuesday’s for breakfast and the rest of the menu looked great too. To be honest, you won’t go hungry as there’s loads of places to eat out, but you might Like the food at the hotel. Enjoy your holiday!"
