Golden Acqua Salou

"Nice hotel pool area good, clean and plenty of sunbeds. Rooms dated and dark no good balcony views. Staff friendly and all really nice. Breakfast good lots of choice, restaurant needs updating no natural light very dark. Good value for money. Located up steep hill but lovely views walking down. Not a 4star more like 3."

"Easy and quick check in, and the room was ready early for us. Had room 414. Three comfy beds and just enough room for the two of us. ( I would suggest bringing hangers from home as well if you have a lot of clothes) Lovely bathroom with a powerful walk in shower. Cleaners did an excellent job. Great location and never had an issue getting around the pool in the afternoon. All staff were great, particularly Marta in the restaurant who always got us our wine to our table with extra ice. Food was good but a tad lukewarm but there was a microwave if needed. Nice touch to have cava at breakfast, did have the odd Bucks Fizz. We were lucky with the weather and walked to Cambrils, La Pineda and Vila Seca, sometimes getting the bus back using a T10 card. Would recommend this hotel and would love to return. Previously stayed at the sister hotel in La Pineda and both very good. Thank you for a lovely two weeks stay."

"A nice, fairly quiet hotel which varied hugely during our 11 nights there. For the first few days we thought it was an adults only hotel, and that we as an older middle aged couple were the youngest there, but it livened up later on, with children and younger couples there (as well as a fairly loud and rowdy group). It’s a very short walk to the shops, cafes, restaurants and bars as well as the beach, so ideally situated. The hotel amenities and rooms are spotlessly clean and the towels changed daily. The staff are without exception friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Special mention to Kira who was fantastic with the entertainment, Marta in the restaurant and Abdouale who seemed to be everywhere. Our only minor gripe would be having to pay around £35 for the use of the room safe, which seems unusual in most hotels of this standard. We did have a few days of bad weather while we were here, and the fact that there is a heated indoor pool and sauna more than made up for that. All in all, no hesitation in recommending for a stay in Salou."
