"My experience of staff at cye apartment salou I traveled with family to Salou on my arrival after booking in l again ask was my room wheelchair accessible and was reassured yes wheelchair accessible Lift wheelchair just about fitted Door into apartment accessible but wheelchair didn't fit into bedroom or shower room When l explained to the manager that l had rang a year in advance and was told by their staff that yes all rooms where accessible l was then told their was no record of this phone call l then asked if they had any other room free but l was told all their accessible room where taken up until Friday l than said that would be fine where the manager smiled but sure your leaving on Saturday morning yes l was leaving on Saturday morning but it would of been nice to be able to have a proper wash in an accessible shower but that option was not giving to me instead the manager brought me out to the public showers where again no accessable shower l don't understand why this place can call themselves wheelchair accessible and to make it worse it was my idea to get to doors removed from the apartment now their idea Also no pool hoist"

"We had a very nice stay here and found the staff friendly. The swimming pool is excellent and feels very safe, which was the best part of our trip. A few quick tips for improvement: please inform guests at check-in about the entertainment notice board (we missed it until day 4) and let them know the laundry is by reception (and that there is no dryer available). We also felt the bed sheets should be changed at least mid-week, as beach sand and sun cream make them uncomfortable quite quickly. Lastly, a few extra sun umbrellas around the pool would be a great investment. Thanks for a nice holiday!"

"So this was a mixed bag really. It had some really good features and some really disappointing ones. It could really be so much better with not a lot of effort from management etc. So let's start with the room, i cant fault the one we stayed in. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The overall hotel was always very clean and kept well to be fair so no complaints there at all. The staff were a big let down, with the exception of maybe one or two but the majority were so rude. Its like they were actively going out of their way to be rude. (If you are that unhappy at work, perhaps seek new employment elsewhere) The restaurant was the biggest issue for us. We paid for full board and it was a disaster. No clue what was on any menu in advance until the scheduled eating times. No menu posted in advance. This proves very difficult when trying to organise a meal for kids. As it turns out they only had one option for kids. Nuggets and chips every single day. This meant we had to go out for dinner a lot even though we had paid for dinner with our package. Lunch was pretty much the same. This was on a set menu, again nothing suitable for kids and then they reluctantly gave us access to the pool bar menu for the kids but made us feel like we were begging and as if they were doing us a favour. Breakfast was the same thing every morning. The kids just had cereal which was fine but overall a very poor set up. I asked if they could just post the dinner menu outside the door maybe an hour or 2 in advance so we could plan a meal around kids etc. I was rudely told to wait until 7:30 and come down and see what options were available. I spoke to reception about this and outlined how unsatisfactory this was considering we have already paid for all this and they couldn't care less. To say they were unprofessional would be an understatement. There are a few good features about this place. The pool is fairly rubbish, its too small, the kids arent allowed to have floats or anything in the water but they still enjoyed it. The kids club entertainment is actually very good and the kids enjoyed it. The hotel is in a great location and very short walk to the main strip etc. As stated earlier in the review. It has some good features and the things that I had a negative experience about are very easy fix. This place has potential to be excellent. Management need to step up and run things right. Display menus to make things convenient for guests. Impress on staff the importance of manners and kindness and if they cant adapt then fire them for staff that will."
