"We recently stayed at Alannia Salou, and while the resort has some lovely modern facilities, our experience was incredibly mixed. Traveling with our toddler, we faced some major challenges with the room layout, weather logistics, and nighttime noise, though the resort's entertainment team and location were massive saving graces. Good Location & Great Evening Entertainment On the positive side, the hotel is in an excellent spot—just a short walk to many local restaurants, which made finding places to eat very easy. Additionally, the nighttime entertainment was absolutely fabulous for our toddler. On the good weather days when activities could run, the entertainment team put on brilliant shows that our little one completely loved. It was the absolute highlight of our stay and provided great family memories. Weekend Chaos & Sleep Disruption Unfortunately, the evenings were ruined once we got back to our room. Over the weekend, the hotel hosted youth football teams for local competitions, and the atmosphere shifted instantly. Groups of rowdy, unsupervised teenagers were running through the corridors, banging on hotel room doors at all hours of the night. Because the soundproofing is so poor, our toddler was constantly woken up by the noise, which made for some very stressful nights. Cramped Rooms, Stolen Items & Ants The rooms are exceptionally tight and poorly laid out. In a strange design choice, the shower and toilet cubicles seemed to replace what should have been wardrobe space, leaving us with zero storage for our clothes. Because the rooms were so small, we had to leave some toys outside, resulting in a football and a pool float being stolen right off our terrace. Be very careful with your belongings, as items left outside disappear quickly with so many unsupervised kids around. Furthermore, we were badly bitten at night during our stay. While we checked the beds thoroughly and found absolutely no evidence of bed bugs, we did notice lots of ants in the room, which was very unsettling. No Indoor Space for Bad Weather Luck also wasn’t on our side with the weather, as we experienced two days of terrible rain. We quickly discovered that the hotel has virtually no indoor communal spaces for guests when it pours. With the outdoor entertainment and pools completely out of action, there was absolutely nowhere to go. We were left with no choice but to sit in our tiny room for two full days, which was incredibly difficult and frustrating when trying to navigate the cramped space and entertain a small child. Summary: The location, outdoor entertainment team, and pools are fantastic when the sun is shining. However, between the bugs, stolen belongings, total lack of indoor backup space, cramped rooms, and disruptive weekend tournament noise, we won't be returning with our family."

"Recently home from a short stay in Alannia with my son and oh wow!! This place is amazing!!! Ive been in salou/cap salou numerous times. I do love salou! But never stayed up this end of "strip" Id seen some pics, reviews looked nice but blown way in person *Security on entrance *felt very safe *straight forward at reception *Door key as wristband, handy. But could of done with my son having one too *daytime activities fantastic *caught a few of the evening activities which also great *pool area super clean and safe with dept of pool and have a few lifeguards on duty Slides to are fantastic *the rooms are compact, beds and pillows comfy. Mini fridge. Hairdryer. TV. Coffee machine.no other kitchen utensils i had to buy plastic plates/spoons/knife/fork/cups The shower/toilet scenario is odd🤣 but made do. But if there had of been 4 of us in the room it would have been awkward and cramped.. or if anyone gad of been noisy in bathroom 🫣😅 *can stream to tv *hard to dry off items being upstairs room but I just had to hang on stairs railing during day *5 mins to supermarket * 5 mins to strip *portaventura bus stop less than 5 mins away (bus 74) * room included towels/shower gel/shampoo. I should have checked this and could of saved some packing space *didn't eat here, got one drink from bar which was 5.50 and had to pay €1 to use a cup (they refund if you bring back after with receipt) but I needed it for the room! I got this at a great price for all that was included.. have already recommended this place to friends and will definetly be back again !!"
