"Booked 3 nights, stayed 1. Terrible and extremely strong smell of cleaning product, horrible for people that has allergies like me. No refund so far of the 2 nights that I didn't use. Staff was friendly but said "it is a 2 star hotel"... and? I had better hostels. It should offer the minimum of good conditions and also the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom... Noisy bed, don't have cover for the duvet, and the common areas also smells a lot."

"I am not sure where to start with this review. So many things were wrong with this place. Let us focus on the positive aspects. Well located in the vibrant centre of porto. The staff is lovely. The garishly dressed "influencers" who queue all day in front of the tiled wall of the local church to take selfies with a background of various scenes of the life of christ are entertaining. I think that's it. The bedroom door (third floor) is of the split in the middle type. When opened, I had to get in the room, close the door leaving my wife outside to be able to walk in the room past the double bed. I tripped in the process. We asked for a room with twin beds. That divan type bed in the corner made up for the second bed. Both beds had done serious mileage. The "bathroom" is an after thought protuberance. Difficult to use for a 5'10" man. Sitting on the loo, you'd find yourself trying to avoid banging your face in the sink. All very old fittings which are very difficult for the staff to clean properly. We passed on the shower. Not inviting at all. The afore mentioned door does not shelter you from the noises coming from the stairwell. Some French tourists coming back from the boozer at 01:00 am had to be told to shut up. Had they been in the room, the noise could not have been worse. The curtains are stained. The bed sheets also. The original pitch pine floor is of very good quality, but is also in need of TLC. Creaks like my old knees. The 1990's wall hung tv is perched at the top of a wobbly wardrobe. So you can only watch it when sitting in one of the beds. The windows also antiques do not cut the outdoor noise one bit. This room is just opposite the church, above a stack of dustbins. These are emptied at night and will definitely keep you awake in some style. Of course, the night life will keep you awake until this happens. After that, may be 05:30, people start going to work and that street becomes alive with diesel engines revving at the traffic light. I dont think we'll be using this hotel again."

"It was good for what my friends and I needed. We were three staying in Porto, Portugal for two nights. We got a room with two double beds and a single bed, and it was spacious. We were actually not expecting much but were very pleased. Our bathroom came with three sets of everything, and it was a god size, not too big or too small. For some reason, everything was unplugged like the fridge and lamps, and I could see that the floor was kind of dusty and it hasn't been deep cleaned but it wasn't too dirty of a room overall. The receptionists were nice, helpful, and spoke multiple languages. They gave us one key for the room, whenever you leave the building you need to give the key to the front desk, and someone is always there. We were right next to the Bolhâo train station which we arrived at from the airport and took back to the airport. The hotel is in a great location for shopping and food, the streets are so picturesque, everything was delicious and beautiful."
