Magic Natura Waterpark & Polynesian Lodge Resort

"Really disappointed This was my first time taking my children abroad alone. When we arrived at reception our lodge wasn’t ready. We expected a wait as we were able to leave our luggage in a locked room and use the facilities however the weather was scorching , there was no where to get changed , and the wait was five hours before we could check in to our lodge. We weren’t given any information on what was happening in the resort or where to eat and drink. We only accessed one restaurant as we didn’t know where anything else was and when we asked we were just pointed in a direction and the resort is quite big. The restaurant had a lot of variety for everyone but the food was always cold. The turn around for clean tables and cutlery wasn’t great. There was a lot of waiting around and my son got told off for trying to sit at a table that hadn’t been cleaned but there was no where to sit. The bar staff were really helpful and friendly. The zoo was great but again we weren’t given information about what we could do in there so we missed out on things including the reptile experience. My oldest was bored so we had to book some excursions and spent a lot of time in Benidorm but my youngest loved everything. There is a bus into Benidorm that is free but I would advise taxis as the bus goes other places first and is always full. The pools were freezing. All my children were shivering. The water park was great. The kids had a fab time there, although a lot of the slides weren’t on. The bands kept snapping and to get a new one you had to get a green ticket and then go through to the water park for a replacement. I thought the lodges were lovely. Cleaned every day but don’t leave anything lying around that you want to keep because cleaners help themselves. The WiFi does not work. We had no WiFi all week and had to contact our provider for access to data. The entertainment staff were great! Something for everyone! The scary maze was brilliant! The pirate show is located in pirate island, again no information how to get to it. It was a case of following the crowd but it is the next resort opposite magic natura. There is no medical team onsite, there is a couple of pharmacy’s in Benidorm town though. I wouldn’t stay here again. Benidorm however is a beautiful place and I will be returning but definitely not returning to magic natura I expected a lot more for the cost of the holiday."

"Spent a week at half term with family. Very dated, fake grass was curling up at the seams, walls very thin between each lodge, you could hear the people next door snoring etc. Food was hit n miss , with both beans n tomatoes cold each day . Smell was terrible from drains across the complex. A child was sick and no hurry from staff to clean it up. Staff member dropped serving togs on floor where people were walking and just placed back on plate without washing it. We would not recommend this place to anyone and will not return. Swimming pools were cold, children coming out shivering. Certainly not a 4 star. On a positive note staff very friendly n pleasant. Zoo was brilliant."

"Just back from a 4 night stay with mixed views. Our first night was in a Polynesian lodge, which was too small. The rest of the stay was in a tahiti lodge, which I thought was lovely - modern, clean, comfortable. Pros: The food was fine, hubby is the fussiest eater & always found something. Food in the grilled area was always fresh. Zoo & waterpark are great and are what add value to the stay, especially if travelling with kids. Drinks are good and nice coffee in the morning from the coffee bar. Cons: The dining area is far too small and overcrowded and feels loud & overwhelming at times - not a pleasant experience; often queues for mealtimes. The different options for AI just cause problems in my opinion. Total lack of information, which means we missed out on things we didn't even know you could do or were there, i.e. reptile experience, tiki bar. Experienced people being sick more than once and it not being cleaned and then children running through it! 🤢 Overall, it isn't equal to our experiences of AI resorts and feels more like a holiday camp, but offers value for entertaining children. We wouldn't rush back; however our 10y/o would."
