"The hotel was in a very good location, close to main shopping street, plenty of cafes close by and very close to bus stop for trip to Foz do Douro. Wasn’t annoyed by street noise despite the central location. My room was nicely decorated, wasn’t bland and had a bit of personality about it. Wasn’t the biggest of rooms but was big enough and had everthing I needed, including mini bar and kettle etc. Bed was comfortable, good choice of pillows. Some people have commented about shower only staying on for seconds before having to press button again, didn’t have this issue. Shower was good, with excellent pressure. The bathroom isn’t that private as sink in room, you step out of the shower into the room etc, didn’t bother me. Air con and wifi worked well. There is a small garden/outside sitting area, not big but good to have in city hotel in centre of Porto. The staff were friendly, both at check in and at breakfast. Breakfast was very good, with good choice including option of cooked eggs. Items were replenished regularly. Leftovers were left in breakfast area so that you could help yourself later in day if you wanted a snack. There was also a small honesty fridge. Would recommend and would stay in again."

"We loved this well located hotel. Helpful and friendly staff, fantastic breakfast and quiet balcony rooms in the garden made the stay here most enjoyable. I'm not sure if this small boutique hotel is for everyone but it was perfect for us."

"We stayed 5 nights having booked directly with the hotel as that was cheaper than any search response. We had a superior room overlooking the garden - well in our case mainly the plastic roof of the pergola - but it would be nice to sit out there on a warm day. Room amenities as described , furnishing an eclectic mix of modern and old, maybe in need a bit of re grouting and paint touch up in a few places but otherwise no complaints. Kettle supplied but only 1 black teabag which wasn’t replaced and no milk, I took my own teabags and asked for milk at reception which was given - you could take teabags / coffee / milk from the breakfast area. Breakfast was good and eggs are offered and cooked fresh . Staff were helpful and friendly. Location - once we found it, our taxi driver dropped us at the 5 star hotel so we wandered for a bit as the door isn’t obvious - it’s opposite the waffle cafe - was very good and a 5/10 min walk to the market etc. Bars and restaurants nearby though in the main they were cafe / fast food type places, we did eat at Senhore Ze - that was good - and another restaurant Maria ? opposite the Ibis hotel which was busy , food ok, so you need to book. I’d recommend a stay at the hotel."
