"Fabulous hotel . First class service . Staff so helpful and polite . Decor is stunning . Room was spacious and very clean . Hotel restaurant is lovely and the food was excellent .our first time in Italy and the whole holiday was amazing . Italian people so friendly and helpful . We will return next year ."

"We booked the last available room at short notice and are so happy that we did. We were greeted and checked in quickly, our room was spotlessly clean, and a good size as was the bathroom. The hotel location was perfect, outside the bustling city centre but walkable if you want, or there is easy access via a bus stop right outside the hotel. The hotel offers bus tickets all pre printed at the same cost which was very handy and the travel time into the centre around 15-20minutes. What can we say about the staff here, they were all so friendly, welcoming and helpful, and really made our stay feel special, and a special mention goes to the lady who runs the breakfast service who was fantastic. The happy hour drinks and nibbles everyday was excellent and it really felt like a home from home with many of the guests attending each evening. On our return to Florence we will book the Hotel David every time, it was excellent throughout."

"Just a quick scan of the many previous reviews will tell you everything you need to know about Hotel David. It's clean, comfortable beds, free onsite parking, traditional decor and a  good breakfast. All.positive, but doesn't really explain why you would choose to stay in a hotel a good walk away from the action and in the Italian heat of summer. Yes, there is a bus just outside but during our stay they were not as regular due to the excessive heat. So why would I not hesitate to make this my stop of choice in Florence when there are so many options? Trip Advisor is full.of reviews suggesting, 'a warm welcome' however this phrase does not come close to describing my experience of Hotel David. I have been to family events and felt less of a welcome than I did here.  The staff at the David genuinely enjoy their work and take great pride in making sure that you feel at home whilst away. The happy hour isn't simply a gimick. It's an opportunity to introduce visitors to the Italian way of Aperitivo, slowing down and being in the present. Yes the nibbles are nice and the wine of good quality however, it is the principle behind this time which sums up the Hotel David. From the first confirmation email from Alessandra and the reception staff, to Marcella at breakfast and the people organising the evening get together, everyone was friendly, helpful and kind. It was my friend's retirement holiday and they made her feel so special. So by all means read up and do your research but if you want a place that makes everyone feel like a favourite cousin, look no further!"
