Alinari

"It was difficult finding the entrance to Hotel Alinari. We walked up and down the street looking for the sign. We finally looked up next to a driveway. We went up the tiny elevator to the 4th floor with our suitcases. Our room was spacious for myself, husband, and adult son. The shower was worn looking. The dial for the overhead shower and handheld wand was not there. We had to use the wand and the hose would kink. Water spray was all over the bathroom. The location was convenient. We walked everywhere we wanted to go. The staff was friendly. We used the stairs most times. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The halls are noisy, we could hear people in the hallway all day and night. The terrace was nice. The view was nice."

"Location was very convenient to train station, and a grocery store across the street. Hotel is on 4th floor with 1 very tiny 2-3 person elevator. Room was clean, nice shower with good water pressure. Unfortunately the bed (mattress) was exceptionally hard. Breakfast buffet was pleasant with nice variety of foods; yogurt, fruit, pastries, and few sandwiches, juices etc. service was excellent from check in, maids, and servers."

"Please do not book here. I don’t like to write bad reviews, but this place disappointed me… please understand this is nothing bad on the staff. The only upside was the distance from the train station. There was barely any hot water and horrible water pressure. The air conditioner was time controlled and temperature controlled, it would only stay on for around 30 minutes. The walls are paper thin, I literally heard another guest use the bathroom. You get barely any amenities, a tiny bar of soap and plastic wrapped shampoo that is good for one use. The hairdryer didn’t work either… When the room was cleaned they gave us new towels, shampoo, soap, made the bed ect, but they never gave us another roll of toilet paper. The toilet roll holder is a tap that doesn’t work anymore? They offer “luggage storage” but luggage is chained up to the entrance of the hotel… (I’m not sure if that’s usual for Italy, it’s our first time here) However, the entrance to the hotel is very nice, it’s off the Main Street and you take a cool old elevator up to the hotel. Other than that, there’s not a lot of positive things to say…."
