"Very good hotel and pleasant proximity to the beach"

"Lovely hotel, very helpful staff and fast check in. Beautiful location right on the beach, there’s a bus stop just outside the hotel, €2 each into Kos town, only 10 minutes away. As this is supposedly a five star hotel please be aware that the tourist tax needs to be paid in cash at €15 per room per night for as long as your stay. Our room was comfy and cleaned on a daily basis however it could benefit from an update. We found the bed very comfortable but a selection of different pillows would help, also a full length mirror would be nice. The air conditioning needs replacing as it is very loud and the air con switch is very difficult to operate. A very quiet/peaceful hotel, no daytime entertainment which suited us, always managed to get a sun bed. The main pool requires some maintenance, loose concrete under the bridge and the grate in the bottom was open/broken? The kids pool requires daily cleaning as people were cleaning their feet in it after going to the beach. While we were there the same dirt was floating around all week. The food wasn’t the best, you’ll enjoy it if you like carrots, peppers and courgettes for breakfast! I’m not a fussy eater but even I struggled here. I’d avoid Saturday nights evening meal if you don’t like fish, every dish is fishy. We even witnessed the hotel owner having a takeaway delivered that evening, I wish we had. The pool snack bar was the worst snack bar we have ever encountered. It was the same repetitive food every day, stale hotdogs, cold fish fingers and cold chicken nuggets. The fresh pizzas were ok but wasn’t replaced enough. The snack bar should be available till 6pm but no more food ever got restocked after 4.30pm and the staff cleared it all up at 5.30pm. There’s a freezer for ice cream and a fridge with a selection of cake and fruit, when it’s stocked up. Overall a lovely hotel but I don’t think I’d return."

"We have been here for 10 days. The hotel is in a beautiful location (rent a car or bike if you want to go out, public transport is a disaster), beautiful pool and a beautiful beach (bring water shoes if you want to go in the water). Clean room and friendly staff. Clean towels when you want, a tidy room every day A few points of attention for the hotel; The food at the buffet was always cold. - The snacks at the pool bar were rock hard and also cold. - Tourist tax must be paid in cash, you can pay by card at the hotel (€1.50 per transaction) - Many of the loungers by the pool and beach are broken (torn, broken, no backrests)"
