Kipriotis Aqualand Hotel

"It was easily the best hotel experience I've ever had, the island is beautiful and the hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The open bar was a pleasure to be in, the service was brilliant; Husein the bartender was very professional and quite experienced in this field of work, he made sure that all the orders were completed to the highest standard and always gave service with a smile, he is the best bartender I have ever been served by."

"We arrived in the afternoon 2pm ISH given keys and checked in straight away and even though we where only 3 doors from reception we was helped with our bags and cases by yanis (He is an amazing man!) he was constantly up and down the hill taking people all day. Never had to wait more than 10mins for him to arrive. Even picked us up from on the way up the hill when we attempted to walk up it (silly to think we could with a pram and 2 kids) can not fault any of the staff all friendly and helpful. Rooms where huge. There was 4 of us and a under 2 and there was loads of space we have 5 beds and a cot and still lots of space, small kitchen area with a fridge, kettle tea coffee and cups. The balcony overlooked the pool and sea great to watch the boats and light at night. All the pools are all good sized but are freezing! Even on hot days they where cold. The pool near the restraunt had music and activities thought the day, the slides are great where we spent most of our time and the splash pool looked great always full of kids (wasn't used by ours so can't comment). Food was always hot and had lots of variety, we had a couple of themed nights too Chinese and Greek where the best. There was always something to eat for everyone Ice-cream thought the day. And snacks offered at selected time also midnight soup was definitely a hit. Entertainment was on everyday bar Wednesday, kids disco was repetitive but the kids loved it and that's all you want so no complains. There was greek dancing, acrobatics, live singers, we skipped bingo night and karaoke but it sounded as though people enjoyed it as we could hear it from the room (our room was above reception where they held it) Area wise (nothing to do with the hotel!) there isn't much there is a beach at the bottom off the hill, jetskis and few watersports and a mini golf but not much else. Kos town was a 15min drive €15 euro for shuttle bus from the hotel and €10 back via taxi. We booked a 3 island boat trip which was amazing would definably recommend booking if your there. Overall it was a great holiday kids enjoyed it. We enjoyed it make your own assumption of the hotel if you go don't listen to people's reviews we loved it!."

"We stayed a week all inclusive here as a family of 4 with 2 children ages 11 and 14, we arrived late at night and was welcomed at reception with water and rolls and taken up to our room by a van. The room was spacious, beds were comfy but rooms were very dated and in need of refurbishment, the room was clean upon arrival and the beds were made daily and the bins emptied although some areas weren’t cleaned all week! There was a safe but it wasn’t free we had to pay €20 non refundable for the week. The food was nice and there was always something to eat. The snack bar was definitely not a snack bar, it was a small table at the side of the bar with rolls of either turkey or ham and normally a left over tray of pastries from breakfast and a freezer with ice cream that was normally either soft and melting or almost empty. There was 3 separate bars all offering the same things, there was no menus and the bar staff didn’t speak much English so we found it quite hard to order drinks. We were aware of the hotel being on a hill when booking but they weren’t kidding! It takes just short of 15 minutes walk from the bottom of the hill at the main road to our room in the 1400. We were told there was a free shuttle bus to take you up and down, it turned out to be a small black van which was rarely there so we ended up having to walk every time! It takes about 50 minutes to an hours walk into Kos town, there is buses on the road but they’re not predictable we waited 40 minutes on a bus that should have come every 15! The staff were lovely, couldn’t fault them especially the restaurant team they were the nicest people and cleared everything up so quickly. Also big shout out to Hakuna Matata in the entertainment team making everyone’s days, we got our morning fist bumps every day and he even said goodbye before we left and wished us a safe journey home! There was 2 separate swimming pools which allowed children’s floats and an aquapark pool with 6 slides which the kids loved! Beware the pool is absolutely freezing, not sure if it was because of the time of year we went or not. There was a decent amount of sun loungers but they definitely need replaced a lot of them were broken and very discoloured. Top tip, bring clips to make sure your towels stay in place. There was an outdoor amphitheatre which had entertainment on every night except Wednesday, one night was a Greek dancing show, another was a magic show and there was 2 nights of bingo (€5 per bingo game) and a karaoke night. There was always a kids mini disco on at 8:30 then the proper entertainment came on at 9:30 and was usually over by 10:15. Overall we enjoyed our time here in Kos at Kipriotis Aqualand but we won’t be back."
