Blue Lagoon Ocean

"We had booked a room with a garden view however on arrival found we had been upgraded to a shared pool room. It did have a view of a garden but also a wall and was very enclosed. With the pool you also have the sound of running water all the time and we like the door open a bit at night. So we asked if there were any other rooms available and they kindly upgraded us to a top floor junior suite with a fantastic view of the countryside. It was lovely! We didn't have the towels changed all week, maybe you have to leave them on the floor, but couldn't find that written anywhere. The drinks. We tried the beer, white wine, G&T, Ouzo, brandy, all fine for us. People mention plastic glasses but this is for safety around the pool. The food. Not the best we have had but lots of choice. Found the lunches the most enjoyable. The entertainment. Really enjoyed it, a sax player and singer, rock covers duo, a dance act, all very good. All the staff we encountered were friendly, polite and helpful. Credit to the restaurant and pool bar teams who work very hard and efficiently. A pleasant stay."

"This lovely hotel on the other side of the island has been a firm favourite of ours for a mini break whenever we have a special occasion and this year was no different. Beautifully clean and set on the outskirts of Kos Town (about 4-5k) it offers peace and tranquillity as an adults only resort. Everywhere looks so new and the different choice of room types are outstanding. We had a jacuzzi room which had a great view of the sea. Equipped with a shower and toilet and ample storage space we wished we were staying for longer. 2 beautiful pools with an incorporated jacuzzi in the lower one and plentiful sunbeds there is no need to get up early. Indeed we slept so well that we didn’t wake up until 0830 anyway. Breakfast was fabulous with each of us having a fresh omelette made and a unique Greek coffee which my husband loves. The Manager is always around to show you how to prepare it! G Fresh orange juice is available at extra cost but there are plenty of other choices freely available too. Still full from breakfast we had a light lunch as there was an Asian Buffet on in the evening which was amazing. I should add that this is one of the best buffets both at lunch and dinner that we have ever encountered. Normally we eat at the A La Carte, Electra, but decided to try dinner at Poseidon Buffet instead. And we are so pleased we did! What an amazing variety of dishes! I tried a little of everything from Sushi to Sweet and Sour! My husband said the Pork Ribs were delicious and went back for more! The Manager and his team greet you at the door and give you a personalised service to seat you with drinks being replenished consistently. Suitably full we headed to the pool bar for the evenings entertainment who were a great couple from South Africa who soon had everybody up on the dance floor! Just for information the pool bar shows an entertainment board for each evening as well as daytime stuff such as aqua gym etc. The restaurant also shows the different theme evenings for each night at the entrance so you can choose to go out or stay in. "We stayed for a week, everyone’s all inclusive. The food was fantastic, with the best salad bar I have seen. Drinks were local but not bad. Plastic cups during the day and no waiter service at night you got glasses and they did table service. The room was lovely clean and modern, the only thing they did not change your towels in the room daily and they was no where to hang damp or wet towels or swim wear. There are lots of steps but they do have ramps too and lifts are available to use. What makes this hotel is the fabulous staff! All so polite , happy and so attentive amazing staff! Swimming pool area was clean plenty of sunbeds and parasols , pool was clean and very inviting too. Entertainment hit & miss I would say with nothing on the Saturday night which was disappointing. I would definately stay again thanks Blue Lagoon"
