"lovely hotel, however I wouldn’t really say it was a 5 star only due to the rooms - stay with me this isn’t a dead negative review I have my moment about the room and then everything else is dead positive
we had a 9 day stay in may 2026 - I found the room to be a bit tired looking but it was very clean and the issues we reported were fixed straight away. for me, I saw photos of the “garden view” rooms with sunbeds outside and thought wow okay this is perfect, when we actually got there we had been put in a room with 2 normal chairs on the terrace and a room that was set back from the one above it, it was very dark and had to have the lights on at all times. bathroom had a bath which was a nice touch as I miss these when I go away and room came with an iron and ironing board. telly was good for the evenings you can cast from your phone which was brill. the plug next to my side of the bed didn’t work so I had to charge my phone on the other side of the room and on the third day the bedside lamp on my partner’s side went out - these are things that could likely be fixed in future however I just wouldn’t expect / haven’t experienced before at hotels from this brand. also has a free minibar in the room with cans and bottles of water topped up daily, really nice addition and we’ve had it before at another Mitsis hotel
all inclusive buffet was actually really nice I don’t know what other comments are on about, I am NOTORIOUS for going away and only eating salad and chips because the meat knocks me sick but I ate the most I’ve ever eaten on holiday here. breakfast was lovely, my partner especially loved the omelettes freshly made in the mornings and there was loads of variety. if you can, get there before the 9-10am rush and you’ll find the whole experience a lot less stressful and busy. lunch we only had the buffet twice I think because we enjoyed the grab and go food so much, highlights were the salad bowls at the health station, burgers at American, chicken gyros at the beach souvlaki and also if you walk down the beach to the next hotel you can use their pizza grab and go which was great. all these were lovely and even the buffet I thought there was loads of variety and it was dead fresh. evening meals we mostly did the à la carte, but I’ll just touch on the buffet for now, we had this twice and it didn’t feel repetitive because of that, nice hot food and it was all well presented in the trays they were constantly changing them.
à la cartes, we tried all of them and our faves were pan Asian, Greek destination and the brunch. honestly all of them had nice stuff but I’d just say don’t bother with the steak as although they cook it well the cuts of meat aren’t the best quality and you’ll get more joy with other stuff. 100% get the chargrilled chicken from Greek destination WOW. Another thing we didn’t learn until the 2nd day, you can order as much as you want at these restaurants (within reason) so we ended up with 3 starters and 5 mains and a dessert between the 2 of us at pan Asian for example and ate it all. choose a few dishes and have a pick at them all so you can try more things. I cannot stress enough to get that chicken though I’ll think about it forever.
I would 100% say the food was the highlight of the holiday, this was some of the best I’ve had at an all inclusive truly.
drinks were alright, were not massive drinkers just like a cocktail or 2 by the pool and then a couple in the evenings. Lobby bar drinks are SOOOO much better than the pool bar, honestly the drinks are about 90% ice so I’d just get a few at a time. Pina coladas at the lobby bar were unreal and if you ask most of them will do you stuff not on the menu if they have the ingredients, every single place would do me a normal margarita instead of a spicy one for example you just need to ask. also the sunbed drink service by the beach was top tier, we sat round other pools a few days and only got asked once so maybe we weren’t in the right spots but beach was dead consistent, a lad comes round taking your cups aswell which was again something I wouldn’t consider but really nice touch. vanilla iced lattes from the beach bar were 10/10. they will also fill your water bottles for you with water etc so remember to bring a stainless steel refillable one - this was a lifesaver for us and only a couple of quid from home bargains to always have cold water. the best drinks I had were made by the lady on the pool bar, the lady on the lobby bar and whoever was on the beach bar every day sorry I don’t know names
we mostly sat by the beach as for me, the pools weren’t the best but again love the variety there’s something for everyone. beach is small rocks - I much prefer this to sand as much easier to clean off hahaha. sea was so clear you could see fish and all sorts and although we didn’t have a go on the water sports, it was apparently really well priced and loads to do. beach bar plays music, more chilled in mornings and then picks up afternoon. sunbeds well spaced and comfy, each one has a parasol thing between them with a table for drinks again VERY handy.
pools are COLD. the main one is heated which is the one with the most sunbeds next to it, think it was only turned on as we got there so was taking its time to heat but loads were in that throughout and we got in more in the second half of the trip. other pools are freezing cold but become manageable about 3pm when it’s been warm.
there’s a little shop on site past the reception, but the best shop is in front of the hotel next door this has more choice and about 30 different pool floats,
you can cut through past the grab and go stations to get there quicker.
entertainment honestly wasn’t for me, think their target audience is kids and older couples. we’re in our mid 20s so found it was better to just have a few drinks inside the bar instead - worked well as we were back at the room by 10 every night so could get up early but you can hear the music from your room. there’s also no forced fun daytime entertainment which I really liked I hate being pestered by reps and there’s none of that, there’s stuff you can do like the exercise classes by the beach, there’s a free table tennis thing there too which we used and I’m sure there’s more but I was pretty much firmly horizontal for most of it
also I want to add, even though it’s a family hotel because we’ve been outside half term, most of the kids were really young so if you’re a couple who gets put off by screaming kids at family hotels (ironic I know considering we booked it but hear me out) I wouldn’t say this was an issue at all, the kids club looked really good so most of them go there and then all the other kids we saw were babies and toddlers, none of whom were dead loud. honestly on one of the days it was rowdy adults swearing and shouting in front of kids that put us off at the pool and we just moved to the beach to get away. that was only on one of the days so not really an issue and again, everyone wants different things out of their holiday so we just moved to a more suitable spot. also the area was STUNNING I loved the mountains on one side and sea on the other so picturesque
I think that’s everything, honestly I think a lot of the reviews from last year were sort of made worse by the fact there was that sickness bug going round and to be honest when we saw them all we were really put off. I can honestly say the only bit I was disappointed by was our room and id probably get one of the upstairs ones if I could go back and change it now because I think having more light in the room would have just made it so much better. everything else was pretty amazing and if the room was updated a bit I’d happily go back there in the future. If you have a holiday booked and have been put off by all the negativity I can honestly say this was the only thing that really disappointed me so hopefully you’ll get a better room than us and it won’t be an issue :)"
