Kalimera Mare

"The Kalimera Mare is located not far from Kardamena, a well-known seaside resort in the south/west of Kos, in a somewhat isolated area but still served by buses that take you to the center. It is a beautiful property consisting of a central building and 2 additional buildings, immersed in a well-kept garden. It also includes a terrace, which the bar overlooks, a swimming pool equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers, a small gym, and a restaurant room, where breakfast and dinner are served. Crossing the garden toward the beach, there is the Kalimera Sweet residence pool, which can also be used by hotel guests, and another bar, which offers snacks at lunch. The private beach, located beyond the main road, is rather small and requires a fee: 1 umbrella with 2 sun loungers and 2 drinks cost 6 euros per day. The sea is beautiful but access is made difficult by the presence of pebbles. It is better to bring water shoes. The superior rooms, recently renovated, are very well-kept: they have modern furnishings and bathrooms, comfortable beds, a large TV that, alas, only broadcasts Rai Scuola and Rai Storia, and a small terrace, with a sea or garden view, with a small table and chairs. Air conditioning in the room costs 4 euros per day. The strong point of this hotel is the catering: the sweet/savory breakfast is abundant while dinner, in addition to the main course to be chosen in the morning, includes varied, very fresh, and perfectly cooked foods, salads, and side dishes. On Thursday evenings, moreover, there is the Greek night with entertainment featuring traditional music and dances. The service is courteous and punctual: in the lobby you will always find someone smiling and ready to satisfy your requests. On the day of our departure, since the flight was at night, after leaving the room at noon, they allowed us to continue using the pool and the bathroom, and we were also able to take a shower with a towel, shower gel, and shampoo provided by them. Truly top-notch. Finally, the price is competitive: the double room for 7 nights on half-board cost 1,148 euros, to which tourist taxes must be added. In short, at the Kalimera Mare you have a really good time, you eat divinely, you are pampered, and there is no lack of comforts. Highly recommended."

"Excellent 3-star hotel with exquisite staff and very spacious rooms. The Hotel Kalimera Mare proved to be an excellent three-star property, comfortable and well-managed. Location: The hotel is not located directly on the beachfront, but it remains a very short distance from the beach, reachable with a short and comfortable walk. In front of the property are the \"Sweet Calimera\" apartments, which are an independent entity and well-distinct from the hotel. Rooms: The suite that hosted us was truly very beautiful and well-kept. Even though the view defined as \"seafront\" is actually a partially lateral view, the environment is pleasant. During our stay, a couple of minor technical issues occurred in the room, but they were handled and resolved very quickly with maximum efficiency. Dining: The dining service offers an excellent breakfast, rich and varied. As for dinner, the assessment is obviously tied to personal tastes: for those who prefer the typical flavors of Italian cuisine, the dishes offered in the evening were at times a bit too salty and with an abundant use of garlic and onion-based seasonings. Service: The real strong point of the property is undoubtedly the staff: the personnel are exquisitely kind, extremely professional, and always available to meet every guest's need with a smile. Overall, it is a property that I absolutely recommend for a pleasant and relaxing stay!"

"🌹🌹🌹🌹 We had a fantastic seven days in Kalimera Mare. The staff is extremely friendly (Marianna, Kosmas, Panagiotis are very friendly and warm) and makes you feel at home from the first moment. The rooms were spotless, comfortable with a wonderful view and tranquility. The location is ideal for those looking for peace, very close to the private beach (just a few steps) with umbrellas and sunbeds so you can relax. The pool is also excellent. The food at the buffet has very good quality and variety. I will definitely go again and highly recommend it for couples and families 🌹🌹🌹🌹"
