Family-friendly hideaway in Kardamena
The Akti Beach Club enjoys direct access to a picturesque sand-and-shingle beach, and the waters are perfect for paddling. It’s also not far from the centre of Kardamena, where you’ll find a pretty harbour and a team of bars and restaurants. The hotel’s free shuttle bus will run you there in just over five minutes.
Prefer to soak up the rays instead? You’re in luck – sun loungers and parasols surround the three outdoor pools. And little ones are well taken care of with five of their own pools to splash in – one of them has a splash-ready slide, too. The largest of the pools is sandwiched between a bar and a snack restaurant, so you’ll be fed and watered during sunbathing sessions. Light bites range from crêpes and toasties.
If you’re not content with stretching out on a sun bed all day, you’ll love the hotel’s activity programme. You can get involved in everything from tennis and archery to water polo and mini-golf. There’s also a gym if you fancy a workout. Alternatively, try out watersports or hire a pedalo from the beachfront watersports centre. Little ones, meanwhile, will be kept busy between the hotel-run kids’ club and the two outdoor playgrounds. Teens get their own club, too.
Dining here is a highlight. The buffet restaurant is highly rated by guests and offers a range of local and international dishes. You’ll find stands for Chinese and Greek food, as well as speciality dishes each day. There’s also a separate area of the buffet for kids. After dinner, there’s a calendar of nightly entertainment, including live bands and mini-discos for the little ones.
