A peaceful harbour town

If you’re looking to get away from it all – really get away from it all – then Pesada holidays are for you. This little harbour village is located on the southernmost edge of Kefalonia, and is as simple and charming as it gets – a few colourful boats bobbing on the water, a charming church and a tiny picture-perfect beach.

Holidays to Pesada are great if you’re a couple or small group of friends keen to explore. It’s ideally located just a 15-minute drive from the capital of Argostoli, with its tavernas, museums and boutiques, plus the popular resort town of Lassi is just up the coast. It’s also the gateway to the nearby island of Zante, which you’ll see from the village. Boats regularly depart from the harbour, and it’s definitely worth a trip over, if only to soak up the views of Kefalonia’s highest mountain, Mount Ainos.

Your Pesada questions, answered

Kefalonia comes alive during the summer months, when the weather is at its hottest. Try spring and autumn if you prefer milder temperatures and quieter beaches.

Absolutely none in Pesada itself – but that’s why many people love it. If you are craving an evening out, the capital is just 15 minutes away by taxi.

Kefalonia is an island ripe for exploration, so a car would help to make the most of it. Nearby you’ll find big resort towns, empty beaches and the charming capital.

Go wine tasting
