"The Positives The resort is very well laid out, with excellent facilities throughout, all of which are clean and well maintained. The bedrooms are comfortable, practical, and pleasantly cool, making for a relaxing stay. The food selection is good, offering a good variety without being excessive, which helps to minimise unnecessary waste. There is something to suit most tastes, and the quality is consistently good. The pool areas are a real highlight. There are three separate pool zones, each with its own unique atmosphere, allowing guests to choose between a more lively environment or a quieter, more relaxed setting. The drink selection is also good, although the all-inclusive wine could be improved. The Negatives Unfortunately, the service did not always match the quality of the resort itself. The reception staff were not particularly helpful or friendly and provided very little information about the resort facilities or the local area. The Medeo Bar was particularly challenging, with table service proving unreliable on several occasions. We were often told, "I'll be one minute," only for no one to return. Although the rooms are lovely, if you like popping the TV on to watch a film as you get into bed.... be aware, there are NO English TV channels Overall Despite the service issues, we had a lovely holiday and enjoyed some fantastic day trips. If you can overlook the inconsistent service, there is plenty to enjoy here. The excursion to the caves and Fiskardo is excellent. Although it's a long day, it is absolutely worth it for the scenery and experience. Lixouri is also well worth a visit, offering a charming place to wander around, browse the shops, and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Special mention to Vasili the pool man who was so friendly and worked really hard and Nikoletta in the Music bar."

"We visited the Apollonion Asterias resort for the last week in May and really enjoyed our stay there. The rooms were very clean and well equipped, there is a choice of 3 pool areas for the kids to play in and there was a good range of food to choose from at the dining hall. The only negative comments we have are that there is very little entertainment at night in terms of shows etc, the Medeo bar has a disco/quiz/Karaoke on certain nights although it's not very big and fills up very quickly due to limited space. We also found the luggage room to be very small considering the size of the resort and can be a squeeze in storing your suitcases. It's also worth bearing in mind that the local beach is only small with very few sun beds so its not suitable for long days spent at the beach, we would recommend hiring a car and driving to larger beaches on the island."
