Boston Hotel Hamburg

"This hotel has huge rooms, nicely appointed lounges, a tasty breakfast buffet and is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. However, we encountered issues which marred our visit: During our stay the city was in the midst of a heat wave and the guest rooms do not have air conditioning. The temperature in our large room was between 28-30 °C (82-86° F) most of the time. The openable windows faced southwest, and the small, portable home type fan provided was inadequate to mitigate the heat. The rooms do not have telephones, so one has to either email or walk to the front desk to make contact with staff. Our requests to staff for relief were only met with excuses. The foyer outside of our room was even hotter but the air hatches in the ceiling were kept tightly closed. Additionally, there was a major railroad construction project in the immediate area which closed off several major streets, affecting access to the hotel."

"Very comfortable boutique hotel, well situated for the town centre. Excellent breakfast and bedroom and bathroom a good size and well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful with good English. We will always try to stay here when in Hamburg."

"Super room, large size with a comfy bed. Loved the Molton brown bathroom products and room kept tidy everyday. Friendly staff and easy to find hotel near the train station. We used the public buses to hop on and off to the local attractions and found the buses easy to navigate. Main Christmas markets only 10 minutes away on the bus. Nice to go into the busy areas and then equally as nice to leave it behind for a quiet nights sleep. No breakfast with our room but it looked great and it costs €25 pp each morning. We opted to explore and find breakfast each morning instead. Overall great stay here, would return & recommend."
