"During my stay at B&B Hamburg-Altona (17.02.-18.02.), the cleaning staff repeatedly entered my room despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being clearly displayed on the door. This happened while I was in the bathroom, resulting in a serious invasion of my privacy. I immediately reported the incident to the receptionist, who admitted that this was not the first time similar incidents had occurred with the cleaning staff. The hotel acknowledged the mistake, but their only response was to offer a €25 compensation, which does not reflect the severity of the situation. Furthermore, the stress caused by the incident led to sleep problems for the following week, which ultimately affected my health. I tried to resolve the issue privately with the hotel management, but they refused to offer a fair compensation. Since this appears to be a recurring issue and the hotel has not taken serious measures to prevent it in the future, I want to warn other guests about the lack of respect for privacy at this establishment."
"Positive: From the price performance perspective it is a nice hotel to stay overnight or at most two nights. Clean rooms and bedding. Small rooms, but comfortable. A very nice local bar/pub beside the hotel where you can eat, drink and watch sport games Negative: Not enough electric sockets. None beside or close to the beds. Hardtime if you have sleeping aid machine. I had to ask an extension cable and multi socket and they provided. Car parking in 5 min walking distance not a big deal, but dropping off or loading your luggages at the front door of the hotel is problematic. Either you block the bike road or sidewalk or have to stay in a paid park area. Each time you get punished by local people :) The worst thing we experienced was the outage of the internet and they could not fix it in 48 hours."
"Good points, hotel is very clean, cheap breakfast, situated beside bus stop for transport. Not so good, rooms are very small, the rooms at the front are very noisy, the road noise from about 7am is constant. They took covid very serious plenty of sanitation points and you needed a covid passport or negative test to stay. There is a vending machine in lobby with limited choice and no water."
