Airport Plaza Hotel Hamburg

"Unacceptable experience and extremely rude staff. ​At check-in, the receptionist did not inform me at all that another person would be sharing my room later. ​My stay was completely ruined by the incredibly unprofessional and aggressive behavior of the night staff. At 12:30 AM, with zero prior notice, the reception tried to place a second guest in my room. Even though my colleague kindly offered to go downstairs to ask for a separate room given the late hour and circumstances, the night receptionist came up directly to my door. ​Instead of handling the situation professionally, he started banging violently on the door and even insulted me out loud in the hallway, demanding that the other guest enter the room. Such behavior from hotel staff is completely unacceptable and shows a total lack of respect for the guests' peace and safety. I strongly advise against staying at this property."

"Very disappointing experience. The dining room staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. Every time we raised an issue or made a reasonable request, there was no genuine attempt to find a solution or assist us. Management should seriously reconsider the staff working in public-facing roles and provide proper training on hospitality, communication, and guest care. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below the standards expected from a hotel."

"We stayed here for the night as our car hire company Wheego would not open the doors to us late evening so we could pick up our car. We found the hotel warm, welcoming and the Sky Bar was welcome after a delayed flight. The room was perfect for our needs and the shuttle price of €5 per person was ideal. A good night although the circumstances were sad..."
