Waterfront rooms, Scandi style

Overlooking Langelinie Pier in central Copenhagen, Scandic Front has a fittingly industrial exterior for its dockside setting and an equally fitting Scandi-inspired interior.

There are two places to eat: a breakfast restaurant opens for a few hours each morning, then a bar opens mid-afternoon and serves snacks, pizza, and tapas. But don’t let these slimmed-down options put you off – there are plenty of restaurants in the surrounding area. Try colourful Nyhavn, just around the corner, for a great line-up.

The rooms are compact and straightforward, made cosy with dark wood finishes. You’ll need to upgrade if you want a terrace, but it does mean you’ll have a great view across the water. However, there are places to sit and admire the view just steps from the hotel’s front door.
