"Our stay was a wonderful experience thanks to Casper that assisted us at the reception. Casper always found answers to our questions and recommended us the most delicious spots in Copenhagen (and our requirements were pretty specific). His positive attitude and friendliness made us feel very welcomed ! The hotel is also in a great location in a walkable distance from major attractions."

"Attentive and caring staff. 10 minute walk from the Norreport station, on the direct route from the airport (15 minutes by metro). No need to go to CPN Central and change. Comfy bed (2 twins pushed together, as is common), very clean, large bathroom with shower, lots of hot water and water pressure. Somewhat spartan, no wardrobe, but hangers are provided. Irons and ironing boards available. Lift. No A/C (as is common in Copenhagen), but windows open and a nice fan is provided. Housekeeping every day. Happy hour every day in lobby, free wine and beer. Very nice lobby. Excellent breakfast at sister hotel King Arthur (for a fee), via a short walk through the connecting courtyard. We had a leaky faucet that they immediately replaced the same day. In a primarily residential area in the city center, so reasonably quiet at night. I was sick for 2 days and the staff at both hotels could not have been more caring and helpful, even letting my husband bring me breakfast in bed and then welcoming me when I returned in person. Very personalized and caring staff. Highly recommend."

"It's difficult to write this review because the staff at Ibsens were, to a person, kind, helpful, responsive, and cheerful. The property, however, needs help. Pros: Excellent location. The hotel is easy walking distance to many attractions, restaurants, and scenic features of Copenhagen. Staff, as I said, were so gracious, kind, and easy to interact with. Cozy hour--a nice, casual feature each afternoon in the lobby for drinks, snacks, and mingling. Breakfast is held in a neighboring sister property (just a walk across the courtyard) and features a bountiful selection ranging from breads, pastries, and muffins, to various smoked fish, cheeses, meats, eggs, and beverages. Cons: I could make this list a long one, but the rooms and corridors are old, musty, moldy, and smelly. I dreaded going back to the hotel each night, and when we did, I opened all the windows, regardless of rain or cool temperatures. The bathroom. When we checked in, the room stank. It's fully tiled, and there was mold between many of the tiles. The shower was a section of the bathroom, delineated by a plastic shower curtain, which when one used the shower, stuck to the body. It was gross. Closet. There is none. Just a few wire hangers on a rod in the room. The carpet is stained. If you want an ironing board and iron, it's hanging on the wall in the corridor to be shared among the guests. Overall, I'm sorry to say, I cannot recommend the hotel. For the staff, who try so hard to make you feel special, I wish them a multi-million-dollar top-to-bottom renovation so that they can work in a property worthy of their efforts"
