"We were planning to visit Amsterdam and we found this hotel in the center with a parking place suitable for our car. As some hotels do not offer parking places.
During the reservation I had issues with the web site and App so I had to call the reservation call center to be sure that my booking was done.
Arrival was easy to the hotel and it was easy to find the parking entrance as well but I had to walk to the reception to ask to open the gate as the doorbell was not working properly.
Check in was smooth and staff were friendly in the reception, even they offered some honey because we were sick.
We book Rusland Suite and it was located in the other building of the hotel. I didn't know that there were two buildings... There is no entry or exist on the second building so every time we had to walk to the lobby and use main gate.
Room was good and could be better definitely. Overall cleaning was fine if we do not count spider nets on walls, dust and mold in the lower parts of the shower... I don't attach photos in here, but the management can see those in the room if interested...
There were some expired items in the minibar as well. I'm lucky that I always check dates beforehand.
Heating and cooling are fine in the room, they work as supposed to be. Internet was fast enough and there were 2 TV units.
Isolation of glasses were not good as we were able to hear all sounds from the streets in the evening and night.
All in room amenities were placed in the room like toothbrush, shaving set, slippers, bathrobe, etc. The view of the room was very good.
Breakfast was good but limited for me because of there was no vegan or lactosefree options. These days it's very common that a lot of hotels offer a small vegan corner... Anyways I did give this feedback to the reception and Letitia (I hope, I spelled it correctly) from restaurant got in touch with me to find a solution. She was very helpful and she did arrange some vegan options for next morning. Thanks to her to make my breakfast more enjoyable.
On the second day, I asked the reception if the minibar is included in the room as there were no price list available and a gentleman informed me that yes it's included and he can send someone to refill which I didn't want for that day. The next day, we informed the reception that we want cleaning and minibar refill while we were going out. When we came back to the room the minibar was still empty but the room was tidied even if they didn't leave new bathrobes when they took used ones... I called reception and ask for minibar and to have some water at least. After 2 hours still we didn't get anything and I talked with a lady in the reception desk which was in the evening about the situation. First she said that the minibar is included only for water than she said the minibar is included only for the day one and I have to pay if I want sparkling water but she can send me some still water... I informed her that a gentleman informed me that it's included and will be refilled daily, she said no which is fine for me but give me a clear answer so I can make my own arrangements... Still I don't know which was true but the situation was like the person on duty decides if we can get water or not rather than a company/room policy.
I paid for a suite room and I had to fight for basic things... Just let me know clearly the policy so if I need to order and pay, I will pay. After I paid thousands for the room, do you think I care about the cost of a bottle of water or if I need to pay extra for a sparkling water!?
This is not the right way of the hospitality for sure. I used to remember days where Radisson group was taking care with their customers/guests with the way of Yes, I can and Make It Right perspective.
Definitely, we will not be back on this property. We would like to thank to staff members who was friendly and helpful and wish you the best.
Please note that this is our family vacation experience with this property and all review reflects my professional feedback."
