"1. Room Type Misleading: We booked a double bed room, but were given a twin room instead. The staff insisted that bed types are “randomly assigned” and “not guaranteed,” which is absolutely unreasonable and misleading. Only after repeated insistence did they agree to “make an exception” and switch us to a double bed room. 2. Noise and Broken Window: The window in our room could not be properly closed, resulting in constant noise from the street throughout the night. It was nearly impossible to sleep. 3. Poor Service Attitude: The staff showed no real sense of hospitality. They were cold, unhelpful, and dismissive whenever we raised issues. 4. Front Desk Misconduct: We left a large new pack of tissues at the front desk before going out. When we came back, the staff said they didn’t know it belonged to a guest and had used two packs. This is not about the item’s value—it’s a matter of principle and respect for guests’ belongings. 5. Facilities Not Worth the Price: The shower water kept switching between hot and cold, and the bathroom fixtures were old and poorly maintained. Overall, the price we paid was completely inconsistent with the level of service and facilities provided. In short, this hotel lacks basic professionalism, maintenance, and service awareness. It was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve ever had, and we would not recommend it to anyone."

"The Catalonia Catedral is located literally around the corner from the beautiful Barcelona Cathedral and has everything you need. The rooms are large, so you are not in top of each other. Breakfast is plentiful, the bar can accommodate afternoon drinks and there is also a restaurant if needed. We walked everywhere as it is so handy to everything you need or want to see."

"The staff was very accommodating to us, arriving early morning and wanting to have a nice room ready. Understandably, check in time was 3PM but, they gave us one room at least to lay down by 11AM. Really appreciated that flexibility. The whole place, ambiance, food and drinks at the restaurants exceeded my expectations. The location was also perfect and walkable to everything in the gothic district. Highly recommended if you plan to go to BCN."
