"We had a large comfortable room, with patio doors and terrace overlooking the lake and fountains. Lots of peacocks and wildlife roaming around which we love. The maid service was excellent, always made the bed up nicely, cleaned thoroughly, changed the towels every day, mopped and left plenty of toilet rolls, she also left some treats for us one day, which was lovely. There is plenty of food available all day, and in my opinion, much better and more interesting than other all inclusives I have been to. Breakfast was my favourite, any type of egg cooked fresh, nice bread, jams toast etc, yogurts, fruits, mint teas, help yourself coffee and juice stations, cheese, olives etc Birds do get in but staff keep them away from the food. Do not expect English type food, because you are in Morocco ! Also , as this is a Muslim County do not expect any bacon or pork, they have alternatives, The wine at lunch time and evening is flowing, white, red and rose and ice, and soft drinks and coffee, If you want beer etc, you just go to the Palms bar next to the restaurant. The best thing about this hotel is the staff, they are so nice, helpful, funny and welcoming, and you end up feeling like family, they do everything they can to make your stay great, and speak French, Arabic and some English, Some really go that extra mile and they do recognise people. We managed to get lots of buggy rides, our Rhiad was the furthest away, but with the best view in my opinion. Make sure you do the tour on a buggy with the welcome crew Zohar and Bushra, so that you see all the facilities on offer, like the spa, the adult pool, the water park, the different bars and pools etc, or you might miss them. Mango bar is lovely but you have to pay for the cocktails and food there, but it is worth the money for something a bit different, from the bog standard cheap and cheerful cocktails at the other bars, There is a shop on site, but it is expensive, so bring your duty free booze and fags, Didn't have any problem getting sun beds, but take your own beach towels, so you do not have to rent them, There is a cash machine on site, which has a better rate than the airport. There is one heated pool, which is lovely, the others at this time of year are very cold, but i did use them. We had the Hammam spa ritual, which was great, but if you don't want a full body scrub and massage, don't choose that, but we loved it. If you have mobility issues, book a ground floor room, because the stairs are steep, but some have nice views and more direct sunshine, than the ground floor in some blocks. Some were being renovated, but there was no noise nuisance etc. Our Tv remote didn't work, but they gave us a new tv and remote as soon as we let them know. The phone did not work and that didn't get sorted, but it wasn't an issue for us, Be prepared for lots of cats and animals, again, not an issue for us. Great fridge with ice compartment, would be good if they provided an ice tray, so you could make your own ice. Large bottles of water provided in the room each day, but no other drinks. Heating and air con in the room, extra blankets, and we asked for extra pillows, which we got. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well and black out curtains. Shower was great. Areas for improvement, food could be warmer, but they did put microwaves in the restaurant, so I heated up soup that was luke warm, Would prefer more breast chicken, but that is a personal choice, and it was very nice, the tagine vegetables were really nice. The deserts and puddings are much better than the usual foam. They only have ice cream every other day, and I think that they should have the ice cream every day, They were always happy to give me ice, but would be good if you could buy a bag and they do run out of ice. The all inclusive finishes at 11,00 pm, and I would suggest that they extend that to midnight. We didn't go to the disco or stay until 1.00 pm, but were not ready to leave at 11.00 and you have to pay after that, although they happily give you drinks at the last orders for free as such. If you want brands you have to pay, and we spent a lot on baileys ! would be good if they had a local cheap alterative. Nice pizza, burger and panini snacks. Toilets are all good. This hotel is 80% or higher French holiday makers, so everything is geared towards the French, which some people find annoying. I speak a bit of French, so it didn't bother me that much, and then they put a British night on in the small bar with flags and Kareoke, which was good fun and you meet the other brits. They should do more of that to keep us happy and encourage more British holiday makers. Although the local entertainment lady was lovely and I taught her to play cheat and she loved it, and she spent a lot of time chatting to the brits and lone holiday makers. The management need to put more staff on at both bars, because they get busy and queues form, not their fault, but people get stressed, including them. And they like to give you table service when they have time. Late breakfasts and lunches available, just less choice. You will not go hungry. Would be nice to have crackers for the cheese, and a few more nibbles/ nuts and crisps, although they do put some out and olives in Palms bar, and you can buy crisps from the shop. This is not a 5 star hotel but it feels like one because of the staff, you can do 5 star down the road for a lot more money, which might be a bit prettier, but the pools didn't look any better, didn't try the food there, but often all inclusive is all inclusive, same stuff. but i don't know. For the money we paid, I think this is excellent value for money, and if you go into town and the Medina and markets you will realise how much they charge for the alcohol on the roof top bars, but they import it, so its expensive, but at least you can enjoy a drink in the hotels and roof top bars in the centre. The traffic is mad, so wouldn't even attempt to hire a car or bike on the road. You can book lots of trips, but because the weather and pools and ambience is so nice, do a longer holiday to experience more. They have a shuttle bus into the city. I would suggest you book the bus with the local tour guide, very safe, interesting and you get to know your bearings and the dos and dont's. However he keeps you as a group and takes you to certain shops, so you don't have time to do everything, in those three and a half hours. So we boked and negotiated a taxi the next day, which gets there quicker and takes you to a more traditional part, and you agree for him to pick you up, and he turned up on the dot, and didn't ask for any payment until both journeys completed, avoids being ripped off. Take a picture of the taxi number, but he recognised us. There were so many good staff .I cant remember all their names, and I tipped as many as I could, who gave me brilliant service, but you wish you could tip everyone. I always tip the maid, I need bog roll ! Oussama and Abdelghane were complete stars and very welcoming from the start as were his colleagues at the restaurant, but i didn't get all their names, Youssef was also lovely, We met some great people, had no issues, we have made some friends for life. This hotel is not too big and it has a nice friendly vibe, like you are part of the family. We LOVED IT, and will be back again and again. As per usual you get some people who just whinge and are rude, but we had a great holiday. But the French still don't know how to queue!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH, SEE YOU ALL SOON XX LOVE LIZ AND STU"
