"I previously visited for this hotel November 2025, having stayed in Tenerife at the Ritz Carlton but then as a couple. As this was my first solo trip in four years it was suggested I went somewhere a little less isolated which led me here!
The hotel is superb in it's design, allowing you to take from it what you enjoy as a holiday rather than be forced to be amongst everyone.
I chose the privilege package which allocates you to thr privilege building looking out over the ocean. The first suite i had room 3418 had a wrap around terrace with outside jacuzzi! Spacious lounge, a guest shower and toilet and an ensuite with double shower and bath both finished to a high standard complete with guest amenities, robes, slippers absolutely as you woukd expect..
On my return visit New Year's Eve I had a standard privilege room 3516 smaller with a terrace abd no jacuzzi but other than this it was again an equal standard.
The privilege status means you can dine in the view restaurant breakfast and dinner, also use the roof top infinity and bar...
The hotel uses an app to book your food and beverage times allowing you complete autonomy over when and where you eat. I go all inclusive which agsin is a new concept to me, but yoy really do get good value as everything is a premium brand.
I must say that the guest relations team with a special mention to Darling, Barbara and Naomi are second to none! They are outstanding in all they do, nothing is a problem! Always a smile and a willingness to go the extra mile and a little bit more!
The front desk staff with the exception of Mauel really do need to attend charm school, they seem to be employed for their language skills but have no idea how to provide customer service at a 5 star level. Their so quivk to refuse your request and to find away to say no, rather than yes, and communication between themselves needs much improvement as one agrees something then neglects to put that on your notes resulting in a refusal to a request that had already been agreed...
The housekeeping staff are simply the best, friendly, efficient and obliging, even the ones with very limited English, and the mini bar attendants again cannot do enough for you.
In respect of porters, they again are pleasant and amiable.
Food & Beverage staff so friendly but some of them find the constraints of having drinks menus frustrating which I must say I find difficult as my pre dinner drink is a dirty martini not listed but Yerri was very happy to make it using his own individual knowledge and skill, yet having done so and making me very happy he was then reprimanded for doing so by his supervisor and I was thrn spoken to saying that I was able to have it tonight as they were quiet but not other nights! I explained that 5 star establishments do not dictate the guests drink of choice when they already have the ingredients and the skill set to provide it! I did bring this up with Barbara at guest relations who very quickly relayed my point snd needless to say I had my drink without much resistance 90% of the time!
The hotel grounds, gardens, communal areas and guest facilities are spotless kept to a high standard.
The Central Market Buffet i did use twice on my first visit abdcehilst the choice of food, drinks and style are in no way lacking, I personally prefer to be served so mostly I dined in thr View where the food is a gastronomic delight! I heard grumbles on New Year's Eve which was a set menu, and very pleasing yonthe yes and palet but I would say rather than the food being at fault it was more a question of were the grumbles suited to the environment and that style.... This maybe where the Central Market Buffet came into it's own! Especially as the grumbles water wearing shorts and trainers to a gala where as the rest of us were parading our finest... I personally feel that the restaurant manager should of refused entry to them... standards really should we need to ask people to wear lingerie trousers in a formal setting.... should they just not automatically wear them!... At the Ritz entry would gave been denied!
The Italian Stromboli restaurant agsin rustic and authentic, great service as is the Tepanyaki a definite treat of splendour, flavour and atmosphere.
I do think that the dinner menu at the View should be changed at least 3 days out of 7.... or more specials...
If you are wanting to go as a family then I think you would be more than satisfied with the offering as staff appeared to adore the children and the water park and swim up rooms all served very popular together with entertainment for them
The entertainment for us adults agsin high quality artists catering for all genres."
