"Do not trust the photos or the descriptions provided for this establishment. The overall experience was nothing short of shocking and the hotel is dramatically overpriced for the low standard provided.
Misleading Marketing & Hidden Costs (Poor Value)
The marketing is completely untrustworthy. The beautiful images do not reflect the reality of the accommodation or the amenities.
Air Conditioning: The room was like a sauna upon arrival. Air conditioning is deceptively listed but comes at an additional, mandatory charge of €10 per day, which is unacceptable for a basic necessity.
Amenities: The "Sky Bar" is pointless; sitting at a table requires a steep €30 per hour fee. The rooftop pool is absolutely tiny.
"All-Inclusive" Deception: The package is not truly all-inclusive, as guests are required to use the sister hotel for some perks, creating unnecessary hassle.
Major Safety and Maintenance Failures
The maintenance and safety standards in the rooms and public areas are dangerous and unacceptable.
Broken Fixtures: The room contained numerous broken items, including a toilet door handle that came clean off in our hand.
Security Risk: The outside door leading to the balcony was faulty, with one side clearly able to be pried open, posing a serious security risk.
Dangerous Rooftop: The "upgrade" room offered a private sunbathing area, but the stairs leading up to the roof had no railing. This is a severe health and safety risk; one slip could result in a fall off the roof. The shower on the roof was also broken and functioned as a simple sprinkler.
Subpar Service and Hostile Staff
The customer service was abysmal, reflecting staff who were rude, disinterested, and unwilling to help.
Check-in Nightmare: We arrived late at night and were not guided to our room; the location was simply drawn on a map. Compounding this, we were dropped off at the top of the road with no direction to the hotel itself.
Initial Refusal: When requesting an upgrade due to the simple room and lack of air conditioning, we were initially told it was "not possible." It was only after involving the TUI representative that a new room was "magically" found.
Lack of Housekeeping: Cleanliness was shocking. We arrived Tuesday night and received no cleaning, fresh towels, or housekeeping service until Saturday. There was no "Do Not Disturb" sign provided to manage this.
Exception: The only positive encounters were one member of senior staff who assisted with the room change and one friendly lifeguard who always offered a greeting.
Disappointing Food & Atmosphere
Dining offered little variety and led us to eat out every night.
Dining: Breakfast was the only somewhat acceptable meal, but the food remained almost identical every day (e.g., the same flavour of pasta was served with only the shape changed).
External Recommendation: We ended up eating out every night for better quality, atmosphere, and friendly service. If you are in the area, we highly recommend Cala for stunning food and helpful staff.
Final Verdict
The hotel is not worth the money and fundamentally fails to provide a safe, clean, or comfortable stay. The only genuinely friendly and gentle companions we found during our stay were the local cats. We will absolutely not be returning and urge all travelers to avoid this hotel at all costs."
