"Really enjoyed our holiday here. The staff are really amazing and a real credit to the place.
We stayed at the ‘front’ hotel which gives direct access to the beach. Although a huge hotel, there are lots of pockets of space and variety for areas to chill and things to do.
We were in room 6219 which was right by the main pool, and although a standard garden room, we also had a brilliant ocean view. Thank you to Mahmoud, who serviced our room daily, providing us with a good supply of bottled water and the towel animals each day were a nice touch.
We had a slight issue on our arrival, but Marina from guest relations was super attentive to ensure everything was put right. She also really helped me out when my son left his phone at the Sports hotel, ordering me a gold buggy transport and ringing ahead to alert security of out plight. Thanks to Mahmoud from the concierge team for your help with all our needs.
Food wise, The laguna is the main buffet, much of the food is geared towards Russian cuisine, but there is still plenty of choice. At breakfast, the freshly made to order omlettes were divine, and the manager (Ibrahim I think) couldn’t do enough for us to ensure we had a good time and had what he needed. If there’s something you want, the staff are more than happy to help.
As part of all inclusive you can also enjoy breakfast and dinner daily at the Italian restaurant – located on the front, looking out to sea, this was a really great location, all the staff were amazing, and work so hard.
On the Sunday, the buffet at the Italian is part of the All Inclusive package, I would definitely recommend attending, although busy, there’s a great atmosphere with live singers too. Here, the manager (Mahmoud) was super helpful at creating a table for us, and Anmar couldn’t do enough to ensure our happiness.
The Flame restaurant and upstairs bar are also worth visiting. We enjoyed an al a carte meal here on one night (and although you pay 40% - the food is reasonably priced so its certainly an affordable way for a little variety).
We spent most of our time at the main pool area, an infinity pool with spectacular views out to sea. Adham was awesome at the pool bar and always happy to serve. Definitely recommend the iced lattes!
Whilst many people put towels out on their beds, there are so many options that even if you struggle to find something, the staff will do their best to shuffle things around to find something that suits (sun, shade, quiet etc)..Waleed was really lovely helping me every morning set up our beds and parasol.
There is a shuttle bus that runs continuously to the Sports Hotel where we often went for a few hours for more ball / pool activities and slides for my boy. The life guard, Mohamad was really kind in helping us find beds/towels even when we arrived mid afternoon.
All the staff were amazingly attentive, friendly and I would say they helped you whether you tipped them or not. I believe in tipping for good service, not for bribing to get something. The staff work long hours, but always with happiness and care, so I did not mind tipping where I could.
On a downside, the sellers around the pool are persistent even when you tell them No. I found it really confusing when prices were quoted sometimes in ££ or then $$ or they added extra fee’s to pay by card, whether EGP.
I was a bit disappointed with the parasailing trip we purchased from Bobos – the sports centre on site. A much higher price than I could have purchased online, the flight was extremely short, we hardly travelled along the coast at all. My husband stayed on the boat whilst my son and I went in the air, yet the team were rude to him when he told the chap we wouldn’t be purchasing the pictures he was taking.
The constant upsell is particularly hard going and unwelcome.
I’d avoid the shop on the beach at all costs, extremely high prices for crap tat. Please, DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
The hotel is in walking distance to Soho Square and a short taxi ride to naama bay. (I’d avoid using the hotel taxi cost of £25 return for naama bay, as we paid about 380 EGP (about £6) each way. We used the taxi app inDrive to easily arrange one.
Sadly, we did get stomach upsets, but I don’t think that was anything to do with the hotel – my advice, don’t delay, head to the pharmacy to get help) and despite getting ripped off and paying a totally inflated price for non approved medications, they did help more than any UK meds did…..
This is a lovely hotel. It’s not 5 Star by UK standards, but you get what you pay for and in general, if you stay at the Concorde, you’ll have a great holiday."
