easyJet holidays expands its city break offering through a new Expedia Group partnership, adding thousands of hotels across 72 destinations
Customers booking a flight on easyJet.com can now add a hotel within the same journey, creating an ATOL-protected Flight + Hotel package
The expansion supports easyJet holidays' growth ambitions, helping the business capture a greater share of the growing city break market
easyJet holidays has partnered with Expedia Group B2B to expand its city break proposition, adding thousands of new hotels across 72 destinations to its inventory as it looks to grow its share of the city break market.
The partnership gives easyJet holidays access to Expedia Group B2B’s large accommodation portfolio, including a broad range of high-quality hotels across easyJet’s flight routes, as well as its sophisticated technology, high-quality content and competitive package rates, enabling easyJet customers booking a flight to add a hotel seamlessly within the same journey and reaching 47% of city travellers who currently book their accommodation elsewhere.
Flight + Hotel and the new partnership are a key part of easyJet holidays’ next phase of growth, with the business focused on converting a greater share of easyJet customers into easyJet holidays customers across both beach and city destinations. Since launch, the proposition has delivered fantastic early results.
The Flight + Hotel proposition also supports easyJet’s wider strategy to evolve its product portfolio in line with customer preferences and strengthen revenue opportunities, alongside easyJet holidays’ target to deliver £450 million profit before tax by FY30.
Garry Wilson, CEO of easyJet holidays, said: “City breaks represent an important growth opportunity for easyJet holidays. Millions of customers already choose easyJet for their flights, and Flight + Hotel gives us another way to serve those customers by making it easier to book accommodation within the same journey.
“Our partnership with Expedia Group B2B supports the continued evolution of our city offering and our ambition to reach more customers as we grow the business.”
Carolina Cabero, SVP Sales, Expedia Group B2B, said: “easyJet holidays’ city-break offering makes it simpler for travellers to plan and book more of their trip in one journey. By combining Expedia Group’s extensive hotel supply with our Rapid API technology that supports connected booking experiences, we’re helping easyJet holidays bring greater choice and convenience to travellers.”
