Douglas Hotel

"The Douglas Hotel is a great value basic hotel. It is well placed for transport and rooms are exceptionally clean and with high standards of maintenance. A good base for exploring or for business. It's easy to get to Glasgow City Centre or to Loch Lomondside. There are no shared facilities and no food, so you are unlikely to see other guests and there is little atmosphere. However, the staff are easy to contact and helpful. Although close to a main road there is little noise. Similarly, it's not far off the approach to Glasgow Airport, but there are almost no overnight flights and the windows are effective at keeping out noise. The TV is internet only and doesn't always get what it says it can. The local area is not touristy, but it is safe and there are local amenities nearby."

"Great Little place in so many ways, location is very quiet, parking was good, rooms immaculate, shower hot and great pressure, friendly staff and very cost effective. Would definitely stay again 😁"

"When I arrived at the hotel my first thoughts were it was closed down it doesn’t look great from the outside. There’s on street parking out side the hotel. The door has a bell to ring for checking in. The lady who check me in was very nice and welcoming the hall way to reception is big and clean a pleasant surprise after seeing the out side of the building. My room was on the first floor a nice size single room en-suite a good size shower room and a great shower. This is a great value hotel but not the best for couples more for the single worker to stay. It has easy access to the road net work. I would stay again."
