"The hotel opened in late June after major renovations. The building is beautiful, the rooms are tastefully furnished, and the breakfast is excellent. However, there are still some major problems to work on, notably: Our room smelled of paint, and the bathroom door would not close. There is no television service; staff said they were "working with a provider" on this. The hotel advertises a 30% discount at the parking facility across the street, but the parking company said they knew of no such arrangement. While hotel staff were friendly, some were poorly trained, could not answer basic questions or offered odd advice, e.g. a receptionist advised us to take a photo of the breakfast beverage menu even though the paper menu is available in the breakfast room. Housekeeping failed to provide toilet paper when making up our room. There is only one elevator, an old-style model with interior grill that needs to be manually closed in order for the elevator to work. Despite a recorded message, "please close the gate," guests forget to close it."

"I had a great time staying here with my girlfriend. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The lounge was a very nice environment to relax and have a drink. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. One of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. Great location for a stay in Glasgow with many bars and restaurants nearby."

"Had an overnight stay with family who aren't often in the city, and they were blown away with how relaxing and well-executed the newly renovated Arthouse is. Staff were incredibly friendly, and they clearly prioritise positive guest experiences. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Glasgow; they will be well looked after here! Also, a note to the restaurant Celetano's: it has some of the freshest, most flavourful food I have had in the city centre at a very reasonable price point, with ample GF and DF options. Well done to both businesses!!"
