Yotel Edinburgh

"The staff is totally incompetent. The staff took no responsibility for anything. They had no idea where anything around the area was located. They would just guess where something was. They didn’t seem to care when we let them know that they sent us in totally the wrong direction. The refrigerator didn’t work in anybody’s room. Even there own maintenance man told us the refrigerators wouldn’t work due to the way they are installed."

"An ok hotel that serves a purpose. Limited options as it was the Edinburgh Marathon weekend so all hotel prices were hiked up. On a positive note the hotel room was clean and comfortable. However lacked coffee and tea facilities in room which you would have expected. The staff were very hit and miss. Some friendly, others not so. Breakfast should be avoided as it’s over priced with limited space so you can end up playing hunt the table in the bar area. Plenty of options outside the hotel."

"I wish to complain about the service my fiance and I received today. We were served by Diyana a Polish girl. She was very rude to us, not a service I would expect at a Yotel. She did not smie once, which is free. I have stayed at the Yotel in Glasgow and they were a lot nicer there. We were given the worst room ever down the stairs!! I did not want to stay in the dungeon. 160 pounds for this?? I have stayed at a lot better hotels. She then said to my fiance did you not see the rooms online? It is not the same as seeing it in real life. He was shown another room without a window!! She eventually gave us the accessible room. She could have given us in the first place. This will be the first and last time here."
