"A mostly good experience with some room for improvements. The staff were all really friendly, but it felt like they all needed more experience or guidance to deliver a well rounded service. For instance, both days at breakfast I was asked if I’d like any sauce, I then requested brown sauce, and both days this was forgotten. The breakfast itself was enjoyable, with a good variety available. There are also nice touches like a complimentary drink on arrival and help yourself shortbread available. Overall hotel design is impressive, but the rooms could do with a little updating and better lighting. Sound proofing also needs improvement, we were woken up a few times due to noise. It’s located an easy 30 minute walk from the city centre and free parking is a positive."

"We stayed for one night at The Scott just before Xmas and it was wonderful. This is a beautiful hotel made extra special by the team who were very kind, professional and helpful. The hotel room was large and very well furnished and the whole hotel has been decorated to a very high standard. Breakfast was excellent and the Scott is in a great location being a 20 minute walk or short uber ride to the city centre and is very easy to get to from the airport. The hotel is also dog friendly with dog specific areas to dine and the bar is delightful especially for whisky lovers as the bar tender is expert in all things whisky. A much better place to stay than expensive tourist type place in the middle of the city and stay includes parking on site which many hotels lack in Edinburgh."
