"There is just something special about the Glasshouse in which they go out of their way to make a visit wonderful. There is always a smile and a friendly greeting from all of the staff.
My 70+ year old mom and I arrived for the first part of our mother-daughter trip at 8 am, following a long travel day and overnight flight from the US. Our 8 am arrival at the Glasshouse was hours before check in time began at 3 pm, and we had the expectation of spending a long day waiting four our rooms to become available. Maël greeted us and helped us immensity arranging our two rooms for us at 10 am and 11 am. She specifically saw my mom’s medical needs and the difficulties she would face wait in several hours and offered her an accessible room with immediate availability. It was an incredibly kind and gracious accommodation for her, but she had worked for us on my mom’s behalf, even though we had not requested any specific accommodation. My room then became available a couple of hours later. For the rest of our stay, Maël was always there to greet, help, and care for us from the beginning to the end of our stay.
David, the concierge, is a wonderful part of the Glasshouse family as well. He knew all that we staying at the hotel and would go out of his way to greet, check in, and chat with everyone, much like he was the mayor of the Glasshouse and its mascot rolled into one friendly Scotsman.
I would like to thank the Glasshouse for their hospitality, kind, and caring staff. Plus, the unique location itself provides many talking points and the warm fire in the center of the Snug Bar encourages the guests to mingle with each other and become a part of the family as well.
