"We visited October and was not disappointed with our stay at the Glasshouse. Super hotel. Great location and not far from the Royal Mile and castle. Loved the room which was I the roof terrace , it had a small terrace, albeit didn’t sit out there because of the high winds. Beautiful spot underneath the Calton Hill monuments. Well worth the visit to take in some amazing 360 views. Rob the concierge was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs and gave us the tour of the hotel and offered advice on where to go , what to do. He made us very welcome and all the staff were welcoming friendly and helpful. The kilts are a good touch too!!! The snug bar with the fire was very cosy and if you love whiskey you have an enormous choice from their whisky cabinet. Over 300! Thankyou for making our staff perfect."

"This was our 3 stay at The Glasshouse, Edinburgh. The venue was immaculate, our suite was superb, clean comfortable and well equipped. Although The Glasshouse may seem slightly expensive, you pay for what you get and we would not stay anywhere else in Edinburgh. The location is excellent for eating out, shopping and sightseeing. The Glasshouse staff are second to none. Saniah greeted us with a warm welcome and explained everything before showing us to our suite. The Concierge gentleman (sorry name unknown) even recognised us when he was outside the hotel and took the time to speak which was very nice. We spent time in the Snug which was so comfortable with a lovely atmosphere. Ruben looked after us and was very professional, courteous and friendly. He mentioned he had only been working at The Glasshouse for little over a week. He was very comfortable in his work and highly appreciated."

"A superbly located hotel at the tip of Leith Walk and within walking of the Old and New towns areas. Ideal for the theatre which is directly next door and car parking was also close by with a helpful hotel discount code. The hotel has an unorthodox layout with the reception at street level however other areas are accessed by lift on the third floor. The bar area is pretty cosy with a gas central burner. We did not use the outdoor area due to the cold wind but this would be pleasant to sit if the weather is warm. Our room had a balcony (linked to all other balconies in the same corridor as high does pose a potential security hazard). The breakfast cold buffet could have done with fresh berries along with the mixed compote. The cooked breakfast was excellent. The service in the breakfast room was very attentive and responsive to our requests. We did have an electrical black out in our room for two hours with no maintenance person on duty to repair the issue. The hotel needs to ensure it follows its own fire regulations and protocol by ensuring potential fires are investigated quickly, which was not the case with our electrical fault. The bar service did not match the breakfast service and we were left unattended on several occasions. ."
