The Glasshouse Autograph Collection hotels

"What a great find! I have walked past the Glasshouse on two prior trips and never noticed it. While booking for this recent trip, I had Marriott points and decided to try it as the location was exactly where we needed to be. I was pleasantly surprised! The staff was amazing (all of them), the hotel was incredible- and quirky in all the good ways, the room, while not huge, was a decent size and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in! We were only booked for 1 night upon my arrival, and when coming back through Edinburgh for my departure a few days later, we had booked elsewhere as it was a little less expensive. After staying the first night, I decided to cancel that reservation and return to The Glasshouse. I even convinced my brother to do the same- and he was so glad he did! There are so many hotels in Edinburgh, but I am glad that next time we go back, we know where we're staying!"

"The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are difficult to locate. We were initially accompanied to our room by a staff member upon check in Easy Then we headed out for dinner and were trapped in fire exit because we chose the stairs. Returning from dinner it took us awhile to find our room due to circuitous layout but once we got to our room, the lock malfunctioned and we could not get in our room We had to Returned to reception ( no lift signs directing) so we returned via stairs and had to exit through an adjoining property to go Outside, walk around the building to enter reception. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. However It should not require a staff member to accompany a guest to To a room. The staff indicated it’s a common issue and explained the staff accommodate guests multiple times a day to thru rooms because of the incongruity of hotel layout. More signage would help Honestly wouldn’t stay here again"

"We stayed here for 5 days in early May 2026. The staff were all amazing especially the father/son concierge team of David and Davie. The front desk team was also great and checked us into our room early. The location is perfect and we able to walk everywhere ie. Edinburgh Castle, Dean’s Village, all museums and restaurants. The rooms were clean and our room opened onto the back large open patio area with a view of Calton Hill. Again we can’t say enough wonderful things about Davie!!! If we are lucky enough to return to Edinburgh then we will 100% stay here again!"
